Home Movies/Time?

I was just wondering, why is Home Movies on at 4:30 AM Central Time? I love that show and would like to watch it at night and not in the early morning..... Thank you! :smileyvery-happy:

I'm personally happy with Home Movies' current slot. I go to bed with AS on, I wake up with AS on, at 5:30AM, so I get to watch Home Movies when I wake up.

But, it would be nice to have it on early at least one night of the week, I do agree. 'Till it does get on earlier, I'm cool with 5:30 (and my DVDs), though.

i got a question.

how come on fridays, there will be 2 good shows that end the line-up before it repeats (like now with frisky dingo and sealab 2021) but at 4:30 a.m. when they should be being shown for a second time like all the other shows, they are carelessy ditched like trash and quickly replaced with home movies?!?

don't get me wrong, i dig home movies, but i would dig seeing sealab more than once a week a helluva lot more.

hooch is crazy!

They do that so that there is a nice TV-PG buffer show going into CN.  They don't really want the little kids waking up and watching Frisky Dingo...

Home Movies is better than some of the stuff they have on instead.

Because when King of The Hill got added on the block, AS lost an hour of air time. Due to repeats, King of The Hill takes up two hours and AS only expanded by one hour to make room for it. So what they did was they put Home Movies in the graveyard slot and took InuYasha off the weeknight lineup entirely so that King of The Hill could fit in.

I think they had been airing Home Movies at 1:30am (er 12:30am your time) since May of '08 or something, so at least they gave it a few good runs before moving it to the graveyard slot.

You didn't read my post very well, did you? King of The Hill repeats. It takes up two hours, not one.

The thought of KoTH makes me smile and think "I should buy a KoTH DVD" as well as "I love King of the Hill".

Because I like something that you don't like? Thank you!

I like things like King of the Hill, you hate things like King of the Hill. This in no way makes me a disgrace. This just means I think differently than you about television shows.

No, you see, no one must agree with you. I don't have to think one way because you think that way-- none of us do. It's one's choice whether or not one wants to agree with someone else.

Also, the thought of KoTH doesn't "make us all cry". There's obviously an enormous amount of people who enjoy the show-- otherwise it would never have lasted 13 years.

I thinkit lasted as long as it did cause Fox needed a medicore show to fill its 7pm slot on sundays when noone was watching anyway.

Oh and yes all must agree. Expecially you.

King of the Hill was on at 8:30 for quite a while, following The Simpsons, which is part of what gave it its huge audience. That audience stayed for it for a long, long while too. 13 years of shows is not just a space filler. If the 7pm slot needed to be filled because no one was watching, Fox would have given local affiliates the half hour/hour to fill up.

I'm not gonna do no agreein' here.

Hank Hill is such a huge duche though how can anyone like that show. Is like an example of the ignorant hicks we all hate and yet we watch a show that supports that kind of mentality. I stopped flaming now just im just wondering what people find so good about this show.

Peggy's waaay worse than Hank.

What I like about this show is partly that the episodes have been consistently good for the entire run, for the most part. The characters are incredibly real, which makes them even easier and fun to like (or hate), and makes a lot of the things that happen that bit more interesting. I like the fact that a lot of the episodes have this odd happy ending, most of them leaving me smiling after everything is concluded and all that. I like that the show's nice and balanced. When it's hilarious, it's hilarious. And when it's funny, it's damn funny. I like how ignorant a lot of the characters are. I like Dale Gribble. I like Boomhauer. I feel bad for Bill. I loathe Peggy.

All in all, I just find it funny, I love the characters, and I see nothing of low quality in the show. I know that there's plenty that dislike it, such as yourself, and I do respect that. It's not for everyone, no show is a show for everyone. But enough have found it good and funny for it to last these 13 years, and when it ends in December, 14 seasons in all.

Also, about ignorant hicks, I don't hate 'em, I find 'em hilarious.

This. The episode where she falls out of a plane without her parachute deploying--best episode ever.

The episode where she finds out she'll be able to walk again--biggest disappointment ever.
