If it does, that's a bummer. It did a good run though, sneaking it's way on the schedule. It's a bit of an honor.

And before they air Focus Grill. It's not like anyone's going to be recording KOTH repeats at 5am.

Bummer. I can't complain much though, Never watched it at 5:30. That was way too late/early.

Well out of all the other stuff they could have put besides Home Movies in the 5:30 slot, they still chose it.
I know 5:30 am isn't that really important but, as I stated, they could have picked something else,
and add the fact of how long it's been on that time slot.
Home Movies was a good show, just not very popular, I'm not sure if the series is more recognized now though, maybe, which could be why it was in that slot.
I don't watch it much unless I find myself up at 5:30 still and wanting to watch TV. I should probably get the DVDs too.

That's so sad! Home Movies was the first show I ever watched on Adult Swim, along with The Oblongs. Jeez, that was at least seven years ago. I guess it had a good run, but its a shame to see it end.

The DVDs are most definitely worth it. I think I know the commentaries as well as the dialogue at this point.
"Hey, look, it's the Home Movies show..."

For some reason I can't start a new thread. I noticed that Fox is going to have a new cartoon and the voice of the main character is the same as Coach McGirk. I know this is not Fox but it just seems like funny timing to stop showing the 5:30 slot and fill it with KOTH.

It stinks that it's leaving before Focus Grill airs. At least this gives me an excuse to buy all of the DVDs.

How is this not a big deal? The very fact that it IS on at such an obscure time is the reason it should be kept around. But no, throw tradition into the garbage, [as]. Throw away the only show besides ATHF that is synonymous with your name and image.
'Cos you know, we couldn't live without having the same episode of King of the Hill aired twice on the same night. Otherwise it couldn't be guaranteed to damage the aesthetic of your brand.
It's no big deal because it's not on at a convenient hour to watch it? What? If convenience were the case, I'd never watch television. I must be the only one with a DVR. You should check it out sometime; it's a great invention.
But yay! I get to blow a ton of money I don't have on a ton of DVDs - the quality of which will be inferior to watching it on Cartoon Network in HD. Guess I'll wait till the Blu-Ray release.... bwahahaha, like that will happen.

i registered, just to complain about this
home movies was my favorite show! i am up all night anyway, so it was great that it came on. and then to take it off with NO warning (typical AS) i am very upset about this. i was going to get the dvds eventually but i wanted to wait. i am sad now. [as] is lucky they're showing american dad and king of the hill still. a little lucky, i might still boycott

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed Home Movies was not being aired anymore! That pisses me off! I used to wake up at 5:30 just to watch it, and all week I've been waking up to reruns of American Dad and KOTH!
I created an account on AS.com solely for the purpose of investigating the disappearance of this show. It was one of the best shows in the lineup, and for AS to pull it, only to fill it with repeats is absurd!
I'm not going to buy the DVDs because I don't have the money to spend on them, so my only option is to complain on here. And for some reason I can't post a thread??? How convenient!

When you're newly registered you have to wait 48 hours to make a thread. Yes, Fox has a new show by Loren Bouchard the co-creator of Home Movies and H. Jon Benjamin is in it. Pretty sure that doesn't have anything to do with them taking Home Movies off the schedule though. If anything, it'd seem like they would want to keep it on and be like, "Oh hey. Remember when he did a show with us?"

I really hope this is temporary, and that it's not gone forever. Home movies is by far my favorite show that adult swim has made, and what's even worse is that it was replaced by King of the hill same night re-runs.
BRING IT BACK (AS)

Home Movies was the first show I ever watched on [as] way back when I was 14 (now 24). I am so upset that it's not on the air, and I've noticed the lack of full episodes on this site as well. I work nights and would watch as soon as I got home, not to mention listening to HM throughout my work day (along with approx. 15 co-workers, btw). I have no need, nor desire, to watch [as] anymore. So, hey thanks [as]. I guess I'll be getting more sleep now. ![]()

Hopefully taking it off was just a matter of, "We've been airing this show five nights a week for the past two or three years, let's give it a break for a while and putting back on later."
I'm thinking that's why they're doing it. The show's still on demand, so it doesn't look like they're getting rid of it for good. (Then again, whoever updates on demand doesn't seem to do it on a regular basis because they always have the same shows on the list.)

It's not exactly the freshest replacement for Home Movies' time slot.
Yeah, but I don't think I could live without my daily six hours of Fox. They're even better the second time around.

This is extremely bothering me. Home Movies and [as] go hand in hand.. It's like taking Scooby-Doo off the cartoon network lineup. It may not be the most popular show, but honestly the story structure, character development, and all around progression of the show is outstanding. I find it hilarious that one network can run marathons of shows like Jersey Shore; with no real moral value at all.. and then [as] takes off Home Movies' ONE time slot at 5:00 AM.. It's like [as] is CONSTANTLY disappointing me. I was hoping for new episodes, and now I gotta wait for the show itself to come back on. Absolutely ridiculous.

So sad
Please bring it back! BF watched it every morning cooking breakfast and I would watch it in the other room while getting ready - we had 2 TVs watching it 5 times a week! Also we Tivo'd it so we could watch what we missed and transferred the Tivo files to watch on Ipod when bored.
Love, love, love this show, bring it back ya meanies.
