What Gary Oldman needs is to be indispensible to somebody. He needs somebody that will eat up all his free time, his ego, his attention. Somebody addicted to him. A mutual addiction. See also: Cyndi Lauper. Eating Rosario isn't really eating. Sleeping with Winona, you're not really asleep.

Some woman has started a prayer chain for Gary Oldman. A spiritual pyramid scheme. As if you can gang up on God. Bully Him around. The fine line between praying and nagging.

Gary Oldman's handwriting is so compelling. The way he writes the letter f in "fat fricking slob," the top line is so long it overhangs the rest of the word. That means he's actually a very loving, protective man. See the k in "kill you"? The way the front leg is extra long shows he's worried about something. See the capital I in "I hate you"? The way it's thin and pointed proves Gary's got a keen sharp mind but he's scared to death of his mother.

What is Gary Oldman going to do with all that junk? All that junk inside Gary Oldman's trunk?
When I die and they lay me to rest
Gonna go to the place that's the best
When they lay me down to die

No one will say it, but Gary Oldman's death would make a perfect third-act climax.

Sell cars long enough and you'll see: Nobody's all that original. Any lone weirdo comes from a big nest of weirdos. What's weird is, you go to some pigsty village in Slovakia, and suddenly even Gary Oldman makes perfect sense.

I sent Gary Oldman a batch of fudge. The kind he likes best. With plenty of chopped walnuts and thumbtacks.

I seem to remember a hulking parrot lurking behind me at this carwash one time.  He was blue and yellow and had piercing eyes.  Naturally I went about my business as my car was being cleaned.  Little did I know the parrot was using wavelengths to communicate.  He told me Gary Oldman is really, and get this...an autistic kid looking into a snow globe.

How can you expect Gary Oldman to feel anything for the suffering of the rest of us? Do you cry when a flower wilts? When a carton of milk goes sour? Don't you think he's seen so many people die that his sympathy or empathy or whatever is pretty much wore out?

The limousine would take me to the airport, the agent said. The airplane would take me to New York. Already a team of people I'd never met, people in New York who knew nothing about me, were writing my autobiography.

The agent said the first six chapters would be faxed to me in the limousine so I could commit my childhood to memory before I gave any interviews. I told the agent I already knew my childhood.

Over the phone he said, "This version's better."

Version?

"We'll have an even hotter version for the movie." The agent asks, "So who do you want to be you?"

I want to be me.

"In the movie, I mean."

Gary Oldman.

Gary Oldman had to wonder how Ginny could hold her head up under the weight of cosmetics smeared all over her face. Underneath it all, she may have been quite pretty. Or she may have been Dirk Bogarde. He will never know.

Gary Oldman had the afternoon to himself, and it looked like being the last one he'd get for a while, he wasted it extravagently. He drank wine, read old newspapers, listened to an open-air performance of some Mahler, and generally sported himself as a gentleman of leisure.

Gary Oldman met a French woman in a bar who said she worked for a computer software company, and he asked her if she'd have sex with him. She just shrugged, Frenchly, which he took to mean no.
