i have too many favs.
i was lucky enough to catch quite a few of their shows back in the day..
so, when i hear certain songs, they take me right back to the concert/parking lot/friends i was with at the time.
its such a nice vacation from the evils of the world to sit back, eyes closed..
and just reminisce about how everyone was kinfolk right then and there.
the love for everyone was sooo deep.
i miss those days.
there was also alot of good conversation.
one of my most favs: ripple.
always fantastic in the live show.

Let me rephrase: I don't knowingly know any songs (if that makes sense). ![]()
Also, I can't listen to that right now. My niece is sleeping in the next room, and I have no headphones nearby. ![]()

ahhhh... i gotcha.
its truckin'.
jerry and co sang awesome songs.
this particular song has one of their best lines:
"what a long strange trip its been."
just sorta sums up alot of things in life, ya know?![]()
hope the niece gets a good nap.![]()

I feel like... theres still so many good Dead songs i havent even heard yet...
for instance, i would kill for the new tour box set
heh, i followed them for years and still havent heard all their songs.
i used to know some bootleggers.. back at the shows,
you could buy a taper ticket and set up your equipment.. then record the concert.
thats why theres so many bootlegs out there.
and id rather have the bootlegs than studio versions any day.
(if you run across any, grab them.... well worth it if the quality is good.)
god, their shows were..... quite an experience.![]()
also: every grateful dead song gives me goosebumps, i think.
Oo

Oh boy... I do not even know where to begin.
If someone is reading this who has never heard Grateful Dead before, i'd say jump on the bus. Go to YouTube or archive.org and listen to any of their music, and soon your world will change forever. They are nothing like you have ever seen or heard before. Trust me.
Right now I am listening to 6/17/1975 @ Winterland. It's an incredible show. The Peggy-O is hautingly beautiful... Jerry's words and guitar speak to me like nothing else does.
