Incoherent Babbling

Right now, I'm a Biology major. I'm also currently taking a Psychology class as a part of my Gen. Ed requirements, and I'm finding it a lot more interesting and much easier than my Bio class at this moment. (Both are Intro classes). So I'm thinking of maybe changing to Psych.

The only thing is that I don't know what I'd do with it. I chose Biology because I wanted to be a veterinarian, but I wouldn't be able to get all the classes required for Vet School if I were a Psych major. I'd plan to go on to grad school regardless of my major, so I should have plenty of options...I just don't know what they are >__>

I think I'd prefer my Dogs doctor had a biology major than Psychology.

And if I owned a Vet I think I'd go with the person with Biology experience off principle.



But Don't let that discourage you form studying psychology, it is very interesting.

Yes, there actually is. They make a ton of money, and there's even been 2-3 shows on animal planet about them.

But that's the thing...I'm kind of reconsidering being a Vet. Vet school admission is super competitive and I'd be really disappointed if I spent 4 years studying Biology only to get rejcted...

What if that changes? What if you decide you're sick of school and want some real world experience first? You don't want to choose a major because it's easy. You choose one for the skill set it provides and how it helps you meet your goals. If you're taking on a ton of debt in this process, then you need to think practically about what an undergraduate degree can do for you.

Well I'd probably start trying to do some internships or something before I applied to grad school and find out if it was really something I wanted to do...

And I want to do something that truly interests me....

I'd stick with biology.
