I've heard his podcast, "Penn's Sunday School.". It's actually very entertaining, and he definitely touches on subjects like this. And he seems super cool, which makes me happy.

Not at all, sir.

To clarify, I'm not going after him for making a doc that makes people ask questions about their faith. I'm simply saying that the way Bill Maher acted in this particular documentary was unnecessarily rude toward regular civilians who believe something other than what he believes.

Again, I want to clarify that, as far as religion goes, Bill Maher and I are on the same page, I was merely commenting on his demeanor when talking to religious people in the film.

In all honesty, I wouldn't get up in front of a group of people who believe differently from me and say, "Here's what's flawed about you believe."

Every human is entitled to believe what they believe, and I absolutely would never, ever attempt to disabuse anyone of their faith.

i completely agree. he's not saying "hey guys, some of this stuff doesn't make sense, and it's important that we talk about it." as much as people talk about religious people who want to ram a bible down your throat, he's basically turned disbelief into something you ram down people's throats, with an awesome side of "i can be self-righteous, too!" to go with it.

it's just plain being an ####.


i mean... really, it's kind of the same reason why i have such a problem with chick-fil-a. this is america, and you have freedom of speech. but when your speech is as offensive as can be to people, i'm going to give you the finger. bill maher hates on religious people [because that's really what he's saying is that showing genuine hate and disrespect towards religion and those who have it is A-OK], and chick-fil-a hates gay people. if you tear down chick-fil-a and you support maher's ideas here, you're basically a giant tool, and probably haven't realized that you're a duckbill platypus amongst bigots [you look really strange for a bigot, but sure enough you are one].

if you tear down one, and support the other, you're just an azz who can dish it out but doesn't like it when you're on the receiving end.
