I think you should try the other programs.  Paint can't create png files and you need them to make the foreground.

irfranview is what my husband uses and it's free.  I couldn't get the hang of it, but he says it's easy if you don't know photoshop

What version have you got?  I have Windows XP and MS Paint gives an error message everytime I ask for a png.  Remember my png files have transparent pixels in them.

That would explain it.  You have a newer version.  I'm still not sure how it would handle transparent pixels, though.

That's where Paint falls short.  I'm not sure it can handle transparent pixels.  Most of the commercial programs, and freebies like GIMP, can.

I've been working on a few tweaks to the banner code that should allow us to make 3-way composite banners.

Short version: you can put a plain background, an image on the left, and an image on the right -- all separate. The announcement text will still fit in the middle.

I would if I could... I'm not really adept at the computer... My only skills are word processing, powerpoint, and excel... I also did JAVA- which I don't remember- in high school... but that's it...
