Well once again it is time for another contest for the InuYasha boards and this time, LD has back-up with Doxie, to really push this contest forward. Now in the last could of contest, I've tested your ability and skill, your senses trying to find the real Naraku. But now were going to use a little more trickery. Use the clues that we provide and find the answer inside our minds.

How This Contest Will Work

In this contest you must find out what myself and Doxie are thinking about from InuYasha. The answer can be anything from InuYasha. Along the way you guys will receive clues that will help you guys figure out the answer. The clues will incude a screencap that will help you figure out what the clue is all about. There will be 6 clues, with the 7th and final one clue being posted guessing will then begin.

The first clue will be posted this Sunday, April 24th. The time? I cannot say however that is for you to wait and see for yourself, so you may want to subscribe to this thread for now to keep tabs of when the clues appear. Just keep in mind if you fall behind you have plenty of time to catch up. After the first clue is posted on Sunday, the next clue will be posted the next day, and the next day, and so on until all of the clues have been posted, once all of the clues have been posted, however you will have to wait, until a set time before anyone is allowed to guess.

The Rules

1. Out of the interest of fairness to everyone in this contest, you cannot post what you think the answer, either to the clue that was posted or the final answer is,  until all the clues have been posted, if you try to guess what the answer is before all the clues have been posted, not only will you be helping others take your answer to use for there own to help themselves, but we will have no choice but to disqualify you. So whatever you do, don't post a answer in this thread, this includes in a joking fashion, because you may find the right answer.

2. Once all the clues have been posted everyone will have a days time to guess the answer, however, once again thinking in the interest of fairness, there will be a time set for allowing guesses. If nobody can figure out what the answer is within a days time of when the guessing started, another clue will be posted, if this continues clues will be posted until a user can guess the answer correctly.

3. Try not to spam up this thread as best as you can, it's cool if you want to ask questions, but try to maintain the discussion on the topic as best as you can.

4. Remember this is all for fun, I realize that when it comes to contest people get competitive and all, that's fine I'm totally cool with that, in fact I do encourage that, however try to keep a level head during it, nobody can win everything, so if someone gets the win, be sure to give them a congratulations.

The Prize

Ever wanted a image inside your signature? Well this is where you can get one if you have tried to get one before in another contest and couldn't cause that is what the prize is. The image has to approved by the admin beforehand, of course, but for those who want one this is another contest where you can get one.

Any and all questions that need answering, if there is any confusion, or if you have something you do not get or can't figure out, simply post inside this thread, myself or Doxie will kindly answer your question.

I am the Keeper of the Clues.  Just about every one will have an image to go with it.  The image will be displayed along with the clue -- no need to follow a link.

Beyond that, who can say what I will do?

Of course, that automatically makes me ineligible for the prize.

1. Since guesses aren't to be made prior to all the clues being posted, will competitors be told how many clues there are in total prior to the last clue being posted?
2. Must guesses be made on the name to which the prize will be given? I change part of my sig on this name every week, so if I want the image in the sig of an alt, will I need to make the guess using said alt?

There will be a total of 6 clues, the last clue will then be posted once the time for guessing is open.

Nope, doesn't matter what account you make the correct guess with, you can talk that all over with Humbug if you win.

Put on your eyeglasses, grab your thinking caps and break out your Inuyasha dvd's or hulu account.  You will really have to know your "Inuyasha" to solve this one.  Hope it will be as much fun to solve as we tried to make it.

Hulu is good.  They have a complete list of the episodes and thumbnails for each.  And the nice part is that the language doesn't matter that much at all.  Subs is good.

I would suggest you start watching now, though, to refresh your memory.

"Shippo has the next clue for you. Go to where he first met me. Find him and listen to what he has to say about me to Miroku afterward. He knows what the second clue is.  You will too if you just look at me."

Why are there multiple clues being posted on successive days if you can only guess after they've all been posted?

Also, if someone guesses, someone could just copy their guess and guess the same thing.  If the first person is wrong, of course this wouldn't matter.  However, if they guess right, how are you going to know if the person copied their answer because they thought it was correct, or came upon the correct answer on their own, and it only looks like copying?

I'd think that it would make more sense for people to PM their guesses.  Though to who, I don't know.  This contest seems interesting, but the way it is set up just seems confusing to me.

Actually, I have a thought about what the answer might be, but I could be wrong.  I'm just going on memory though, I don't think I'm gonna' re-watch the whole show to figure it out.

There is one ultimate answer that answers all the clues; but you won't be able to know it until all the clues are given.  That's why posting individual answers to each clue is considered a premature guess. 

This contest must be won by logic, not guesswork.

Since I am the keeper of the answers, you need to let me know who you are if you use multiple alts to answer the clues.  But the time for that is after the last one is given.

I will definitely update the thread with the clue status and I will try to post links to the clues as they accumulate.

I have received the third message. It is from no less a dignitary than Sesshoumaru-sama himself. This is what he said:

"I have traveled a great distance just for this. Although I did not know Tenseiga led me here for this purpose. Look at me and find me in this episode to see the next clue. It will not be easy to understand what it is. I will show you the third clue more clearly as you watch me in action. Although, you can see it before your eyes even as you look at me now. It is seen, but unseen. Can you perceive what it is?"

If you have any questions about what Sesshoumaru is saying, you can ask.

BUT, no guesses, remarks, or hints at this time.  You may want to wait for another clue before trying to figure this out or you can start searching right now.  The choice is yours.  Finding him in the episode he hints at and watching him complete the action in the picture may help you to find the answer.

Uhh... okay... But I still don't get what you are going to do about multiple people guessing the right answer.  You'll have no way of knowing who copied and who came to the answer on their own.  Logic would dictate that people should PM their answers, and not post them at all.

Otherwise, this will just end up like getting an episode thread.   First one with the right answer wins, and that seems pretty unfair and "meh" to me.

It's not a "premature guess".  I've come to, in my mind, through "logic" from the 2 clues given, that I have a pretty good idea of what the answer is.  I don't think it's that hard to figure out.  Of course, I could be wrong.
