I just realized the extent to which the opening of TFA gives away many different spoilers from the series. >_> <_< Now I feel like a total idiot for not having paid attention to that earlier. Kind of reminds me of the opening to the last season of Zero no Tsukaima... lol

If and when it airs on [as], you mean? But I don't see them keeping more than 15 seconds of it at most. Everything else essentially gives away what happens in the key episodes (8, 13, 25, and 26, to name a few).

I saw a video of Demi Lovato after her rehab stint and her nails looked like painted versions of Inuyasha's claws! O_o

I honestly wouldn't put it past her. She seems like an anime fan for some reason. (A lot of people in Hollywood like it, to begin with.) Embarrassingly enough, I tweeted her once that her older songs kind of remind me of DAI's music on the IY soundtrack, especially "Kimi Ga Inai Mirai" (going back to TFA discussion )... I deleted it shortly after posting it. >_> <_<

But seriously, look at her nails in the lyric video for her newest single "Give Your Heart a Break" or in the advertisement for her MTV documentary...

As far as the Final Act OP goes, the first 5 seconds gives away the last episode.  How do you get past that spoiler?

It's fine. I've never given a rat's behind about MTV to begin with (too crass and vulgar...  not to mention NO MUSIC ). I just saw the promo and was intrigued, especially because I used to follow her.

Here are the two  videos I mentioned.

Well, technically the last 6 episodes if you ask me, since we find out at that point that she has been accepted into her choice high school around episode 20/21. We actually see what she looks like as a high schooler in the last two episodes, if memory serves (although episode 25 doesn't technically count >_> <_<).  They could always do what they did with the first opening of FMA:B: cut out the introductory sequence. It doesn't matter much, since it's just the introductory guitar riffs (I think it's called? Sorry! I only play piano. ). They could also sync the music and graphics differently so that only the good scenes remain. I'm not only concerned about the Kagome intro, but also with the shot of Inuyasha thinking about Kikyou and her "spirit" floating behind him against a starry background (hello! "Among the Twinkling Stars"? ), as well as Kikyou wandering around with Kohaku (isn't their dynamic only a TFA thing?). Also, the last shots of Inuyasha and Kagome joining hands across the edge of the well as he's trying to help her up and of Goshinboku kind of give away the last 10 minutes of the last episode if you really look into them and what they could symbolize... There are the Bakusaiga and Meido Zangetsuha sequences that are so prominently featured in this sequence as well... In short, there area hell of a lot of spoilers. But there still should be some sequences (just like the typical shot of Kagome running to the group) that could stay and be synced against the music in a different way. They have done it with "kids'" anime anyways, so they could make this the bizarre [as] exception... I guess. Also, once some spoilers are out of the way or really close, they could make the sequence more like the original, but I'm really dubious as to the feasibility of that. >_> <_<

In all but 3 episodes of the original series, they cut out the entire OP.  I can see that happening here in favor of a complete ED, instead of a truncated one, and keeping the entire episode content within the 22 minute alloted time (in other words, no eidts).

I wouldn't mind some content getting editted out though. Kohaku beheading that demon and Miroku spurting blood all over the place were both really intense. TV-MA rating, here we come!

It wasn't my phone.  It was my laptop.  I have a 3G connection for traveling.  I don't trust those Wi-fi hot spots. 

The phone is 4G.

But in a way, it is part of the intensity and desperation of the story at that point.  Besides, they made it in because the show was scheduled for a 2:30 AM time slot in Japan.  That is way past the kiddie hour.

And is it much worse than Kohaku murdering his family, or the women in that castle?  Or is it much worse than Inuyasha collapsing from blood loss after his own brother drilled a hole clean through his body?  This have been pretty intense all along.

Regarding the opening for the final act, its sad to say but I think it'll get shortned to 35 seconds like they did with Casshern Sins and Deadman Wonderland, Kekkaishi, Durarara!! and anything show they've got in the past few years.

Or just cut it out entirely like they did for the original InuYasha series >.>

Another thing is that TFA is much darker than the first series. That might also contribute to it. It's just like FMA and FMA:B; quite a few episodes in FMA:B have received a TV-MA rating because of the overall darker and more intense nature of an episode, which fits into the mood of the series, which is much darker than the first one.

Another thing is that in the first series, we don't see blood and gore too graphically, although the intensity of the situation is obvious. I think that TFA is more graphic.
