InuYasha: The Final Act

(犬夜叉 完結編, Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen)

 Streamingat www.Hulu.com, starting on October 3rd, 2009, between 1 p.m and 5 p.m. Eastern.

 Time to get this show on the road once more!  The streams and subs of the new series will be discussed here, but this will differ from a normal discussion thread.  And hopefully, this one will capture the adventurous and somewhat dramatic feel that the original once did.

 
The current streaming episode discussion will begin at 5:30 p.m. Eastern time once it has aired in its entirety.  You are most likely going to be spoiled if you come here and haven't seen the episode, so I'd advise that you watch it before doing so.  Enter at your own risk.  Once you've seen it, wait until it has ended to discuss.  Spoilers will be reported.  There is one exception, being that the first InuYasha series has aired a number of times, so it can be discussed freely.  But, board rules apply so deaths and/or major plot points from it are to be hidden, always.  And last but not least, not all have read the manga, so please keep discussion of it to a minimum.

For those that are interested in watching the Japanese broadcast live, unsubbed, and legally; I'd like to recommend tuning into the Nihon TV channel (日本テレビ) on KeyHoleTV, a P2P application created by the Japanese government. Tune in at 2:20 AM Japanese Standard (GMT+9), which is 1:20 PM Eastern Daylight (GMT-4) or 12:20 PM Eastern Standard (GMT-5) in the US on Saturdays. Remember to adjust for your timezone and daylight savings accordingly.

Ok so Hulu won't work in Japan so should I stay up to watch this?  I kinda wanted to check the first episode out live, but staying up till 2:20 in the morning to watch it that's rough.  Oh and do people in America get to watch this first since you say Hulu starts at 1:00, shouldn't it be like 1:20ish?

Uh, excuse me? This thread was made early which means it can't be the episode thread. I made my thread at the proper time. This thread was not floated at midnight either. And seeing as that u made this thread, and locked my thread, that is a gross confilct of interest. I rightfully got the ep thread. U should float my thread because I won it fair and square.

For the first series, yes, for Kanketsu-hen, no.  Discussion is strictly for the episode that has aired (and ones that have passed), so spoilers aren't allowed, even marked.

I am going to stay up tonight to watch it on NTV.  If you don’t have to get up tomorrow it might be worth it.  I am a little curious to check it out and see if the show is any different.

I'm not whining.  I just think the whole situation is kind of stupid.  There was already a thread for non-spoiler discussio, which SB locked, I'm assuming because it was made early.  Then he goes and makes his own thread -early- and then locks one made at the "proper" time.

If u think that's a rule then point to a moderator post about it. That's just a convention on those folders. We can do whatever we want over here. It's a common practice to have both episode threads and ongoing discussion threads. There's no reason we can't do that for the web airings. Fix videos got their own discussion threads. I just see this as screaming hypocrisy and it stinks. And I don't have Inuyasha's sense of smell. Apparently u and SeBe don't even have a human's sense of smell. Smell test fail is fail.
