i like the show but i wouldn't call myself a fan. cowboy bebop is my favorite.. followed by samurai champloo, ghost in the shell, and blood†. but there's nothing that says saturday like inuyasha. i'm talking about the block. i don't know what it is, exactly. maybe it's the music.. the ending themes.. that have this certain "feel" to them. even though the block is a mere shadow of it's former self, with bebop and gits being in reruns and samcham, witch hunter robin, wolf's rain, blood†, and eureka seven gone, i still get that old saturday night feeling when inuyasha comes on. especially when "my will" or one of the first three or four ending themes play. the nostalgia kinda washes over me and leaves me feeling like i did back when the block was strong. man, i miss those days. while i know nothing lasts forever i am grateful for inuyasha still being the last thing on the action block. now if i could just get "the dawn is your enemy" back...

I miss that bump so much. . . . .   

It was like the perfect end to the perfect morning wake-up call.  I started when Inuyasha just had taken over the 5:30 slot every day of the week, with two showings on Saturday and Sunday nights.  That was 9 Inuyasha's a week.  Heaven in the sense that the story moved along at a great pace.

However, it meant the whole series ran through in about 3 months.  Maybe that was the overkill that stalled this board because both things happened at about the same time.

But for a first-timer, it was great.  Inuyasha marathon, stretched out style.

I didn't get into InuYasha until recently and still have yet to get into Cowboy Bebop, but I totally understand that feeling. Just knowing that both shows have been around, especially during better days, and that they're so nostalgic gives me the same feeling when I see something related to them online; but then again, I can't quite replicate what you're feeling since I wasn't there when these feelings were developed. I do have similar feelings to Teen TItans, though. Just thinking about an episode reminds me of amazing Saturday evenings I used to have. Ah! The memories!

But yeah, what happened to all the good programming?

Eureka Seven  Wolf`s Rain, Samurai Champloo.. Shows like that I miss alot.

I wonder if Inuyasha will ever leave [as] Like them losing it I mean. Like they have so many other good shows.

That may happen to the original series when Final Act premieres, if it ever does.  However, it has been very profitable for both [as] and Viz, as partners for a very long time.  As long as it shows promise to continue that way, there will be an incentive to keeping it around, like Cowboy Bebop.

Deep down, I feel that a lot more fans would be willing to sit through a run of the entire series, from beginning to end.  I don't know how that would work out, license-wise; but it would be nice to see it happen.

i bet you still get a feeling, eventually, when you hear those inuyasha endings. i just played "my will" and "come" and yep, still there...

i would hope not. they've hung onto bebop and inuyasha so long it'd be a shame if either one left...

I really have been watching InuYasha since the summer of 2007 back when it was on everyday at Midnight (Futurama was still owned by [as]). So everytime I watch InuYasha at 5:30 (4:30 for me), I always get that nostalgic feeling and remember the times when I thought I was the biggest RIF of all... Ah, those were good times. What I wouldn't give to go back...
