Because he's the coolest bad guy in the show, kicks Gen's butt, has the voice of a guy that sounds like Steve Blum, looks Shishio, a mummy with grass hair, has big eyes, and swords that come ot of his arms like Baraka.  'Nuff said.

I was gone, for various reasons, but now I am back, as you well know!  I still couldn't get over that I, of all people made this fan club... which is why I haven't posted in it yet... what do I say?  What can I say? Naw but... yes... it is very ironic that I was the one that ended up making this, and I'm still sore at Kaguro for what he did, but even I have to admit he's pretty damn cool.  Just... sigh... grrr...

The forums are strange like that.  There's also been some upheavals in the section, and really.... a lot of the Kekkaishi fans got chased out or gave up on it, or maybe people just don't like him because of what he... did to Gen... *sniffle*

I really liked Gen but that scene was really epic, I would've killed him the same way.

Yes it was, but I just can't think of it like that.  I feel too bad for Gen.

But I will admit that Kaguro himself is pretty awesome.

And what was with all that stuff he was saying to Yoshimori?  Man, that was weird.

Umm, it was after Gen died, or was dying... and he was saying all this stuff... I thought it might have been to Gen, but I didn't think he was really gone [yet].  He was saying all this weird and creepy shit about "let loose of your mortal coil" and this stuff... I dunno', I'd have to re-watch the episode to make sure, and... I really don't want to experience that again, any time soon.  But yeah, it was the one where Gen left us, that he said this stuff to Yoshi after the battle.

Owing to the past two week's events of the series, I suppose I should begrudgingly bump Kaguro's fan club.  Even though I hate him for what he did to Gen, Aihi, and others... I have to admit that Kaguro's origin story makes him even more badass.

Well yes, that too... Insane is definitely a good word for it.  I also liked the strange way he walked off with the Ayakashi.  Made me think of some kind of evil marionette or something.

Am I the only one who finds Kaguro to be THE ONLY redeeming factor in this lame show and its lame ayakashi alliance?  Sure the pineapple eyes are a bit...off, but everything else about him matches pretty well.  He does have a unique sense of style (or lack thereof), especially since he seems to love wearing that business suit for most of the series.  I do notice that he acts differently to match the characters that he is interacting with.  If it's an ayakashi, he sounds deceptive and cynical.  If it's Genn, he sounds serious and dark.  If it's Yoshimori, he sounds....silly and candid (especially where he sort of talks to himself at the beginning of ep 51).  He's really quite a character in that I rarely ever encounter one that tries to mimic the personality quirks of whomever he's speaking to.

I do find it sad that he never seems to get a challenge from anything at all in Kekkaishi (aside from poser Yoshi), and even then, he just STOPS THE FIGHT to give Yoshi more time to improve.  That sounds an awful lot like someone grasping at straws just to fend off the torture of boredom.  Maybe that's what it means to throw everything else away when you stand at the mountaintop: there's nothing left around you but frozen death and nowhere else to go.  I'm not sure what he meant at the end that he felt the same feeling as when he used to cut into an opponent (did he feel disintegration?  Because that's what I saw him doing.).

Either way, still a great villain.  I wish he got the fight that he deserved.

He was a great villain, to be sure.  I still don't like what he did to the characters I loved, but that's what a villain exists to do.  I also agree that he deserved to have gotten a great fight, which never happened.

When he said feeling, he didn't mean literal.  He probably meant the emotional feeling of exhileration and excitement of being alive when he killed those guys, is the same feeling he felt when he died.  Something like that.

Kaguro was the genuine villain of the series. He kicked so much ass that all the **beast** around exploded from his presence.

Kaguro is my favorite villian on this show. He has this weird violent charisma that I like.

Kaguro is still the best part of the show, and his seiyuu is awesome. I ended up watching a few episode in Japanese toward the end of the series.

Troy Baker did his English voice and it sounds fantastic. I often find myself mimicing it.

I loved the showdown at the end of the series (when they finally got to it) Kaguro and Masamori were probably my favorite characters.
