Other than the Owl sisters, the ayakashi so far all seem to have distinctive powers and features from each other. All different species?

As I remember it, those captioned names in Japanese are related to each's ability. It sort of loses that impact in the translation.

Well it does add a bit of extra mystique to the dub I guess.

Man, what an EVIL cliffhanger to end 2011's offerings of Kekkaishi on!

I guess if some show were to get stuck with one, it might as well be Kekkaishi.  I guess it was no worse than Bleach's though.
