There is a differince between taking something too seriously and expecting to be entertained. I'm sorry if watching a guy obsess over cake funny. The ghost was even worse, I mean talk about no point. And as for showing us redeeming qualites, we got the exact same thing last episode of yoshi being merciful. Tokine continues to be a cardboard cutout, and we get our comic relief in cake. Sorry if I'm not entertained by that.

Well, thats a bit better than some orange jacket-wearing kid with blonde hair blue eyes that keeps on shouting about himself, his dreams, keeps on repeating again and again his code of honor, and how he doesn't break promises etc... (I'm talking about the character qualities, not the show in general)...
At least Yoshi shows it, (then afterwards, someone says tha't he's to soft or something  - Tokine), he doesn't just rant about it...

OK, let's run it down- The story is stupid and generic, the characters are cardboard cutouts, the designs are not interesting, the comedy relief is as infantile as the plot, and the whole thing alternates between boring you, annoying you, and making you wish if they had to get a shounen, they got Soul Eater (two shots)

How about I sum it up? This show **alf**. The fact that the few remaining fans of ASA proclaim it gold shows how far the block has fallen from the days of Champloo. Your show is garbage. Right now, give me three good reasons to keep watching. Not some stupid vague "it gets better" promise, tell me why anyone should invest time in this crap.

"It gets better" is vague? That's pretty straightforward if you ask me. :smileyvery-happy:

I asked if there's a reason to keep watching.  You mentioned...I dunno, boxes from future episodes or something.  I kept saying your show is stupid.  You haven't given me a reason to do anything but point and laugh at both it and everyone watching.

lol I never said I liked naruto. Plus naruto at least had an interesting backstory to him from episode one, yoshi...not  so much. But yoshi doesn't wear an orange jumpsuit lol.

And no one really said he was soft when he spared the demon, tokine practically complimented him for it, before critisizing him for it in this one... I swear she has DID lol.

In kekkaishi, the one with the interesting backstory is Karasumori, and how the lives of the main characters would be affected by it in the future...

oh...so that's what causes yoshi to know about child labor laws at age 9, but not know the differince between telepathy and empathy when he's 14? and tokine to not be affected by her dad's death two years after it happened, but act as if he just died 5 years later? lol I would actually buy that explanation :smileytongue:

Ya know, I'm getting this whole feeling that, although everyone says it's going to get better, that I'm still going to be disappointed in what I see.

Therefore, it is my opinion that...THE CAKE IS A LIE!!!
Anime I'm watching: Cuticle Detective Inaba, Sasami-San @ Ganbaranai, Oreimo S2

Plan to watch: Blue Submarine No. 6
