Kekkaishi

there are two ds and one wii game for kekkaishi. they were only made in japan so most of you probly dont have them. if you do have any of them, tell us about them. if you dont (i dont have them), discuss... i dont know... something. discuss whether you want them or whatever. for me, the existence of the ds games is the only reason i want to keep my dsi. if i ever go to japan im buying one or both of the ds games.

I would like to see how a game version would look like. I'm assuming you fight a bunch of ayakashi's first before you get to any Kokuboro people

the only thing is if the games went by the storyline i wouldnt play them until ive seen the entire show. ive only seen like the first eight episodes not counting the pilot.

I really wanted to import the DS game, since its played by using the stylus to use Kekkai on various yokai. But I haven't had the money. 

The Wii game looked better graphically, but the game play wasn't as impressive. You can find some footage on youtube.

my kindle does not support flash so youtube wouldnt work.
im sure the ds import is extremely expensive since its shipped overseas. i am hoping to go to tokyo sometime in the next few years so i could probly buy it there.
ive had a wii for a coupl years. its not something you would want an action game for.
basically it sounds awesome but few o us have a probable chance of getting the game.

Kekkaishi is just a cool concept that seems to work better as a video game than an anime. It's interesting that we never got a U.S. port of this game. I mean, while the dub on [as] wasn't wildly successful, the Wii game is a pretty cool idea for a 3D platformer, and the DS game also an inventive sidescroller. Maybe that's because these are actually older 2007 and the U.S. release of the dub was 2010. Sadly, I just don't think there's much of a market over here. But I could be wrong; now that the show has been shown to roughly 1.1 million people, maybe there would be a good 100k that would pay for ports of outdated Kekkaishi games...

On the other hand, I don't know if Vic Mignogna would be able to do the voice acting. Maybe one day there will be a Wii U or 3DS Kekkaishi game that actually gets released over here if DVD sales of Kekkaishi are good enough.

actually, many nintendo games dont get imported into the US. its not unusual that the kekkaishi video games arent imported here. in face it would be unusual if they DID get imported here!

And yet we actually have something even weirder in Catherine. I think maybe one day we might actually have a Kekkaishi video game over here; I mean it happened with InuYasha. However, I also think that would require some kind of series continuation and subsequent launch.

My point is, when the first round of Kekkaishi games came out, most American anime fans had never even heard of Kekkaishi. Now, post [as] premiere run, that is certainly not the case. I could see, for example, a co-incidental launch of a video game with a new season of Kekkaishi in Japan, and then it getting dubbed for Western audiences about the same time new episodes would be dubbed...which would be like 2014 or 2015 at this point if that, because a Kekkaishi conclusion has NOT been announced.

It all remains a pipe--er--Nenshi dream for now, but it COULD happen...

theres inuyasha videogames? and in america? oh well if theres a conclusion series for kekkaishi then its definitely possible.
also i am toally going to gamestop next tim i have money and getting the inuyasha game.

Actually there are four InuYasha games that made it to stateside, I believe.  You'll most likely not find them in stores, though.

The games do look neat. It also sounds like the same voice talent as in the anime.

By the way, "Kokubourou no kage", the name of the Wii game, means "Kokubourou's shadow". I wonder if you get more powers and techniques as you go along?
