And yet we actually have something even weirder in Catherine. I think maybe one day we might actually have a Kekkaishi video game over here; I mean it happened with InuYasha. However, I also think that would require some kind of series continuation and subsequent launch.
My point is, when the first round of Kekkaishi games came out, most American anime fans had never even heard of Kekkaishi. Now, post [as] premiere run, that is certainly not the case. I could see, for example, a co-incidental launch of a video game with a new season of Kekkaishi in Japan, and then it getting dubbed for Western audiences about the same time new episodes would be dubbed...which would be like 2014 or 2015 at this point if that, because a Kekkaishi conclusion has NOT been announced.
It all remains a pipe--er--Nenshi dream for now, but it COULD happen...
