Can you provide reasoning for this?

I think its only about half as funny if you're not from Texas, that said how can you call the show awful? Its got developed charcters, pretty good stories, and it manages to be both light and kind of realistic at the same time.

The earlier seasons are especially effective and even have a fair amount of heart. I'll really miss it if AS drops it in favor of some drivel like The Cleveland Show... which they probably will. *sigh*

Wow, you've really convinced me with this compelling argument.

Personally, I still love this show. Even when half the episodes are just recycling the whole "Bobby gets into something Hank is embarrassed by" motif, I still enjoy it.

At least there's some character integrity. Realistic, flawed, yet still likable characters at that. A continuing storyline. Something you can compare to "real life" and take something away from.

At least it's not Family Guy.

When I was younger I thought this show was awful, but I think it is more because I was turned off by the art style. Now that I am older (with a very much more open mind), I can say that King of the Hill is a pretty good show. I don't watch it unless I have nothing else to watch, but it is a quality show (something that is rare nowadays).

I love the show, but there is a decent bit to hate especially at first glance. I started not really liking it, but now it is a favorite show of mine. I personally think people just need to give it a real try. Not just one or two eps, but I think a person needs to check out at least a season to really get into it. Then again everyone seemed to love the U.K Office, I honestly hated it, people even liked the american office, but I thought that was 'meh' too, so it all boils down to taste, and sense of humor so of course some people will like it and some people wont. I will still hold the firm belief this show is awesome regardless of some peoples distaste for it.
