Tyler explains pretty much his reasoning in the album itself. He's a harmonal kid who's emotional and has family issues.It's hard for him to talk about it so he vents it out by tapping into the dark places of his mind.

No way the author of this blog is being ironic. He's making a very direct, straightforward case and a pretty compelling one at that. If you doubt it, read how he vehemently defends his research from the many attacks in the replies section at the end of the article. Now I'm not a super religious guy but even if Odd Future's blatant connection to satanism is only for shock value, shock value still equates to no value at all in my estimation and this crappy show just offers more of the same. What alarms me far more than the whole satanic thing is the overall devaluation of education that is prevalent in hip-hop culture. If being ignorant is cool, then I don't ever want to be cool.
