Look Around You

Ok, recently I was able to watch the Region 2 DVDs at a friends house and was a bit shocked at what we saw.

Both seasons (or series for the UK) of Look Around You are in widescreen and comparing them to what is on AS video reveals this.  Given that they have a decent amount of their shows in HD now I have to ask why they decided to pan and scan this show?

Another thing I should mention is that the DVD is matted widescreen instead of anamorphic. (Metalocalypse Season One was like this which resulted in me not buying the DVDs.  Fortunately they fixed this for Season Two.)  On the plus side though it does have some great features for fans of the show like the alternate ending to Health.

A bit of an update, the first Series was widescreen, the second series appears is full frame though.
