The first couple episode of this show were pretty good, Maths and Sulphur being pretty funny. When they changed the format, however, they lost me. What i mean is that when they started it was like a funny little take on those crappy videos they made us watch in school, but after a few episodes they made it like a crappy educational talk show, and the new style just doesn't do it for me

I doubt maturity has anything at all to do with it. But it is a great show. I usually miss it when it's on, because they don't show it during the second run.

While you should be slapped for not devoting your life to worshipping LAY's first series, you are correct in assessing how fail the second is in comparison.

It's not altogether terrible, though.

People's enjoyment of Look Around You is directly proportional to how much time you were tortured by this sort of show when you were growing up, much like Saul of the Mole Men.

Let's face it... if you had to sit there watching outdated science shows from the 70's in school, this is right up your alley.  

As for the dumbing down of people... let's face it, anyone who gets their science from AS shows is already in bad shape.  I seriously doubt there's anyone who thinks you can make a giant pair of scissors appear from "an old experiment you've probably seen before...".

I woke up to this show at about 4 am and I thought I was terrified. It was the ghost episode and I was so upset waking up to it.

ANYWAY, this show is great IMO... There aren't enough episodes to keep in interesting if it were to air all the time, though... It'd be nice if they brought Darkplace back again (it was on for, what, 3-4 weeks before it got removed again?) and rotated the short-running British comedys...

This show was good during it's first season but the second season, not so much. The Music 2000 episode wasn't bad, and i actually did like the Health episode, but the only ones i truly like is the first series.

This show is honestly the worst POS that I've ever seen. I know its supposed to be poking fun at public access but I'm sorry... Its just not funny. IMO offer this show as a substitute for the death penalty, I bet most inmates would regret choosing it...
