New Lupin III Anime Project

A television ad announced on Friday that a new Lupin III televisionproject has been green-lit to air this fall on the NTV network. TheMainichi Shimbun paper's Mantan Web site notes that it will be about a year and a half since the last new Lupin III work, Lupin III: the Last Job. The Last Job earned a 17.6 rating in Tokyo's Kanto's area when it aired in February of 2010.

Now I just figured it was another movie/tv special. Friend seems to think it's a full out series this time. Thoughts if any on this?

Someone on the ANN forum made an interesting point. "The Last Job" might imply it's the last TV special, and so this new project would be a series instead.

Then again it could just be some title they chose for dramatic effect. <_<

Wasn't there a Lupin/Conan spinoff not too long ago also? Anyway, it's gonna be awesome to see another Lupin series

Honestly, I just hope it turns out better than the TV specials. I thought the Conan/Lupin one was attrocious in regards to the plot.

There was a Lupin/Conan movie not that long ago. I thought it was great.

I still wish it would be released here.

Hell to the frack yeah, although I was a wee disapointed in the crossover with Lupin and DC. I'm super excited for this
