Frankenhole Mini-Marathon

Hey Everybody! Dino, here.

Be sure to watch the Frankenhole Mini-Marathon this Halloween. Plenty of surprises and new content...not just reruns!

Mother To-Be-Sa (sp?)?

But seriously... when you say 'not just reruns', should I delete my DVR of the episodes' first runs?

The four episodes will air as they have always aired, but there will be wraparounds with Victor hosting the hour and a couple of fun surprises.

Only four episodes? I hope "Attack of the Were-Lawrence" is one of them.

Huzzah, it is!

I shall tape it while I'm sleeping (w/ the timer set to one hour) so I can watch it the next day.  This way I can get at least 6 hrs. of sleep. (the exact ammount of hours on a VHS videotape recored at SLP speed)  Also lookin' foward to new episodes come December (Christmas episode anyone?)

That braub thing was neat.   And holy crap season 2 looks awesome!  Now, if only I could get a DVD of season 1.

Fans = never happy are we?

Death was a great choice to start this mini-marathon.  Watching it right now.  I love this episode.

The visuals on this show are fantastic.  And I love that little mumble that Death does when Victor calls him a goof.

These are way better than I was expecting.  Usually when these "hosting" type bumps are sorta cool, but not nearly as good as this.  We don't see enough of Joe.  I'm hoping he'll have more in the Season 2?

Werelawrence is a great episode.  Gandhi/Dracula one is on now.  This one isn't as universal for me as Death and Werelawrence.  I like it.  There's a couple of amazing bits in it.  But I have a different reaction to it every time I watch it.  It plays differently than the other two.  I think it's the combination of the accent and the joke-to-story ratio.  It's not as memorable for me.  When I think of Frankenhole episodes, this isn't one that leaps to mind right away.  But once I settle into watching it, I really like it.  It's a weird reaction.  My memory of it doesn't seem to serve the actual episode.  I think of it as not that great, but then when I watch it, it actually is a pretty great episode.  Maybe in recognizing that I have now broken that cycle or something.

Nosferatu is up right now.  I like that the bumps are using some of these characters we don't get to see enough of.

The last one is my favorite episode.   Maybe.  It's hard to pick a favorite.  But this one is my favorite episode.

The second batch of Season 2 clips makes it look even more incredible.  I'm glad it's coming soon because it would suck to have to wait too long after seeing those teasers, this upcoming season looks really amazing.

And the Orel thing was, indeed, an actual surprise!

Which, usually when people go "tune in for surprises" it's kind of like just - some lame thing or something.

This was a really truly great surprise.

Awesome mini-marathon!  The extra stuff was actually really high quality 'show-quality' type bits.  And the surprise was actually legit!  Good job all.

GOD DANG IT! I turned off my television just as the episode ended. I just barely missed the big reveal of the night!

Please, tell me someone recorded these so I can see the very ending, otherwise, I'm pretty sure I'm going to fall into a depression for the next month. :smileysad:

Is it repeating later?

Being a min-marathon I'm guessing not, but check the schedule and see if it repeats tonight.

The mini-marathon was great, as were the clips in between, and most of all, the surprise at the end!

It's been a long time since Adult Swim did something as cool as this. The closest analogue I can think of is the Brak New Year's Eve thing.

Looking forward to the Moral Orel special(s). How did Orel find a Frankenhole? One would think those are forbidden in Moralton.

I watched it last night and loved every minute of it. Dino definitely picked the best episodes to show off, and the new animation was great.

as i hoped, the Dark Lord of the Hole of Franken did not disappoint.

"Death" and "Attack of the Were-Lawrence" are two of my favs from Sea.1.  i esp. like how in A o t W-L the were-wolf creates himself.  reminds me of Heinlein's "All You Zombies"; nice homage.

  loved the wrap-around/extras, too.

I JUST HEARD ABOUT THE SPECIAL.

I DID NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A TELEVISION ON HALLOWEEN.

Pleaes, if anyone can fill me in, if anyone can link me to the video about the Orel special, I will be FOREVER in your debt.

I am drowning,
There is no sign of land,
You are coming down with me,
Hand in unlovable hand.
