Frankenhole to hit DVR Theater on February 22nd.

[ Edited ]

Good news and bad news.

The Good news, is Mary Shelley's Frankenhole will be back on the schedule. at 4:00am starting February 22nd.

The Bad news, it is being placed in the block that has entirely been for cancelled / finished projects.

So...yeah. Pretty upsetting, as its ratings were pretty decent, and it cracked the Top 3 a few times. This is no official "This show has been cancelled" notice, but it definately doesn't help it's odds.

I don't like those odds either. That's pretty disappointing, I didn't much like Frankenhole but it still should've gotten a second season for the fans' sake.

Maybe DVR Theater is just a block for shows/seasons that the early block watchers no longer want to see and thus have no room on the regular schedule.

This doesn't confirm Frankenhole's end since no such news has been announced.

How would you like a Rusty Venture?
There are 5 original seasons of Futurama, not 4.
Cartoons!

Maybe I'm just a hopeless optimist at heart, but I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet.

*headdesks*

Sorry, I need to learn how to see the obviously bold text that I somehow missed.

...aaaanyway.

It did not crack the top 3 during its original run, but it did it some time on its repeat run in August, and also scored 750k some other night and failed to crack the top 3 too. (Taken from a TVbyTheNumbers Turner networks report)

That's okay :smileyvery-happy:

Scoring the Top 3 anytime is a good sign, I reckon.

WHY AS? ]best shows cancelled[

Reply to TheHafk - Message ID#: 58635508

Space Ghost, Sealab 2021, Moral Orel, and now maybe Frankenhole? Why is it that your most original, funny, and Creative shows never seem to last on AS. But yet shows like Children's Hospital and Tim and Eric Awesome Show! continue to air. Both of which are awful and not very original programming. (IMO) So, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE continue to air Mary Shelleys Frankenhole. Dino and team **grok** ROCK! Their animation alone is mind boggling, and of course their writing is original and funny.

Thanks AS team.

[p.s. Will Moral Orel season 2 & 3 ever come to DVD, or is that yesterdays news? I would love to own those seasons.]

best regards

Space Ghost lasted ten years and ran for eight seasons.
Sealab 2021 ran for four seasons and by the time it was done the creators were ready to move on to their next project, Frisky Dingo, which I think was even better.
We have no idea what the status of Frankenhole is, but it could be argued that Moral Orel had plenty of life left in it when the plug was pulled.
