I must saddly report the passing of a feline Roadie.
Undie, Roadie #550-C, passed away today at 3 PM Eastern. He was a good boy. And I managed to pet him before he passed.

We have. She even started with me when I went in for a nap and then moved to Dave when he went into his room for a nap. She's getting use to Undie not being here.

Holkie....don't mean to pry, but what happened to Undie?
Did he die of old kitty-kitty age?
This thing SCARES me: Tyrant is approximately going to be FIFTEEN this year...thinking about him leaving me some day absolutely terrifies me!!!!

The big blob of fluff in my sig was only with me for 10 years, from eyeless puffball to 15 lb. killer of bees. ![]()
It still hurts. Even with this 12 lb. spotted beast hanging over my shoulder watching me type this and plotting the best time to try giving me a wet willy, I still miss the 'sha. Kitties don't live long enough. So you just have to cuddle them and love them as long as they are with you and they'll give you all the love they can for the time they have. And when they do pass, remember and celebrate the good times, the bad times, the weird times, the times that made them the part of your life worth remembering. It doesn't lessen the loss but makes it easier to hold up under it because you'll have the strength of all the life kitty brought to your life and nothing can take that away from you.
rambling rambling rambling...

Well, Undie was 14 according to Dave. They had him since he was born. We think it was a stroke. He was fine on Saturday, troting around, bugging Buddy, annoying me for food. Sunday I woke up and came out into the living room. Buddy had been with me and went into Dave's room when I got up. Undie was nowhere to be seen. Usual, as he stays in his cave most of the time. Until I heard some low growls.
Thought it was him and Buddy getting into it in the hallway until I pinpointed the growls coming from about the dresser in the middle of the living room, just about the edge of Undie's terrority. I got Dave as he was the best one to get close to Undie. That's when we found he had dragged himself out from under the dresser by his front paws. His hind legs weren't working and that was why he was growling. He moved a little around that area, not getting very far, but not getting under anything either. He even let me scratch his head, though he did hiss at me. But he only moved his head so I scratched his ears. So I think he liked it. Still had this rep to maintain of a tough kitty, tho'.
It was only about 4-5 hours maybe and he was gone. Just like Tiny.
I miss the grumpy guy.
Buddy is getting use to having the whole apartment. Dave's set up the main, ie Undie's, litter pan and put up the one he had for Buddy in the bedroom. I've put her food bowl out here in the living room and she's been eating from it.
But Undie is off paling around with Toki's kitty.

And I should say that Bruce, my folks' cat, lived to be 20. And I saw news recently that there is a UK cat who is 27!

Well, from what I've read/heard about cats' lifespans, they can live up to 20, so, hopefully, Tyrant will be with me for about 5 years....he's NEVER been sick in the years he's been with me, so I'm lucky!

My big fluffball Goldfinger lived to be 21 when he died. And my current kitty, The Great Mighty Squeekers, is pushing 10 and she acts like she's still a kitten.
Sorry to hear about your kitty, Holkie. It's always hard to see a kitty go. ![]()

Like I stated...Tyrant will be 15 in April (or, at least, it was April when he came into my life, so that why I consider his B-Day in April)....he acts more like a young rebellious teen-ager than a senior citizen!

Oh, yeah. Mine too. My cat acts more like a rebellious stoner sometimes. No matter where or how well hidden the catnip plant is, he always finds it and I always find him belly up rolling around in a big pile of it. And yet I still keep growing them. -_-

The kitty version of Pickles, uh? ![]()
It's been a week now. Buddy is slowing getting use to being the only cat. She's taken over Undie's spot on the hospital bed in the living.

Actually, that sums her up pretty well. ![]()
I guess her version of playing the drums would be batting at my feet really really fast whenever she wants me to feed her.
The Squeeker got used to being the only cat fairly quickly after my Goldfinger died. I think what she was most happy about was the fact that no one would steal her food when she wasn't looking anymore. Although, I do see her cuddling around the plushie I made of Goldfinger.
