Last year, Gene Hoglan replaced Testament's original drummer on their recent album when he took ill and wound up leaving the band.  Well, Gene was picked to be Testament's touring drummer on their current tour with Antrax and Death Angel.

Well, Anthrax's drummer Charlie Benante's mother is seriously ill and he's taking some time away from the tour to be with her.  (Anthrax is Scott Ian's band and he as done a voice in Renovationklok).  Seems Gene was tapped to their drummer during this time!  http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=

Boy don't know how to take time off.  I've lost track of how many bands he has played for.

This should not interfere with any recording Gene has to do for Metalocalypse/Dethklok.  And I know we are all sending Charlie and his family good thoughts.

yep, when i saw anthrax a few months ago, i saw gene walking around before the show, i definatly wasn't expecting that !

Actually, with Dethklok it would be TRIPLE duty: I hope Gene doesn't burn himself out from his duties.

Naw, it's still only double duty on this tour  Hopefully the 3rd band is on between Testament and Antrax or Gene is going to be wiped at the end of the night.  Don't know how that man does it.  He has played with so many bands!
