Well, hey, Jackson is supposedly the person responsible for sparking Brendon to do Metalocalypse.   They had been talking about pitching ideas and music, metal mostly.  And Jackson told Brendon he didn't understand why he wasn't pitching a metal show.

i remember reading that in one of the interviews you posted. i think brendon was talking to jackson about what to do after home movies, and jackson told him something along the lines of doing a show about metal b/c he talks about it so #### much.
