I've only seen  numbers 1,2,3,4, and 8 and i hear that Gundam Seed is coming to Cartoon Network

It is either coming April 17th or 30th. I can't wait to see it. I really want to see another gundam series. Although it will be wierd without the GW people.

Ugh, SEED is a mere crowd-pleaser.  It's far more convoluted plot-wise than GW ever was, has exceedingly poor character development, and rips off many other Gundam series (MSG, Zeta, GW, and Gundam X come to mind many times)--just look at the FREEDOM Gundam, Kira's final mech.  It is an almost direct copy of the design of the Double X Gundam from Gundam X!  Apart from that, the series' mech design is visually stunning (Kudos to Okawara for making Katoki-ish designs--FREEDOM excluded), and the soundtrack is equally phenominal; one of the best I have ever heard.

Having not seen Zeta or Seed (but all the others you listed), Gundam Wing is definitely the best.  One of my favorite anime series of all time.  "I'll kill you....."

SEED is the best and people that dis it wont be able to tell anyone once it airs in April, they'll keep it to themselves cuz such harshness towards SEED is Gundam blasphemy.

i watched a few episodes, the user interface on the gundams was really cool but i didnt like how powerful they were at times, like i didnt like how they got angry and they're gundam got more powerful, that stretches reality just a tad too much for me

Anti-hype?  I've seen the series, and in my opinion, it **bleep** completely.  SEED is nothing more than merchandising machine.  Just look at all the crap that BanDai released in Japan!  The design of the Strike Gundam with it's ultra-cheap Phase Shift Armor and it's other optional field modifications made it possible to market no less than 4 MSiA figures and model kits (and don't get me started on how they bastardized my beloved MSiAs with removable body panels...)  They should have totally dismissed the moniker of "Gundam" in the series, as it is by far the WORST show to bear that name (well, that and ZZ Gundam...) AND was by no means the creation of Tomino--instead, the brainchild of the staff at BanDai (who own Sunrise, who just happen to own all rights to Gundam).

If you want to see a good Gundam series, wait for the release of Zeta Gundam.  Sure, the animation is 1985 vintage, but visual asthetics should take a back seat to plot and character development.  I feel very sorry for you if you think otherwise...

 I'be seen it as well and didn't think it was that bad. It wasn't the best but it was still better than some of the others. Its so popular in Japan right now that they are going to come out with Seed 2 in the next year or two.

Nope, I'm afraid that's not the case.  From the October 2003 archive of the Gunota Headlines Blog ( http://aeug.blogspot.com/2003_10_01_aeug_archive.html ), this was reported:

Info related to SEED 2 aka SEED 2 is NOT happening

1) Sunrise Representative Director Matsumoto's statement at San Diego Comic Con was likely a fan service and only reflected his personal opinions after seeing how popular Gundam was at the Con. Unfortunately, anime fans who heard his statements at the Con spread this word over the internet believing this series was a done deal.

2) Since SD Gundam Force will start airing in Jan 2004 for Japan, it is highly unlikely that SEED 2 will air during the same year simultaneously. A new series appearing 2-3 years from now seems more valid based on CGO (Chief Gundam Officer) Ueno's statements in Sept.

3) Addional Supplement: "It could be an OVA based on one of the plans. In America, Cartoon Network does show OVA at midnight. I heard nothing is confirmed yet." (#2)

4) On Oct 10th, 2003: Paratrick Model reported that there was a rumor about SEED 2 airing in June 2004 at Plamodel & Radicon Show 2003. A follow up to this rumor was mentioned at Pesu Kari HP which seemed to clarify this rumor. At the Bandai booth, Bandai was giving away a small Strike plamodel to those who answered their survey. The survey's last question was "If SEED 2 is created, what kind of MS/Character would you like to see?"

5) More details on SEED sequel have surfaced. From a fan's report of the "Gundam Floor" at the Laox store in Akihabara, Kenichi Nozaki, the music producer of SEED, stated "There are rumors of SEED sequel, but nothing has been officially decided." NEW - Paratrick webmaster has retracted his original statement about SEED 2 airing in June. He has stated that SEED 2 will probably not happen at all and all production related to SEED has ended or close to it. He goes on to say that it was originally given an extension (ie go beyond its originally planned 1 year run) during the 2nd cour (ep14-26), but that extension was canceled which sorta lead to story ending the way it did.
