You should! I totally would, but I need to learn to draw them all first. And I'm lazy.

After seeing this episode (and seeing the great discussions about the show on this board:smileyhappy: I decided to join the boards to post about it.  I found myself tearing up at the end, I'm so happy that Orel was able to grow up and have a loving family.  I am a little bit disappointed that we didn't get to see Censordoll's plot but either way I'm really pleased that the series ended this way.  Great job Dino, and good luck with your other projects!

On thew reairing I was watching here in Dallas we had at least 20 seconds of sound disappear twice... and the video messed up for about 5, it ruined the experience of watching the episode for a third time, I think it may have been Time Warners feed that was messed up... btw I didnt know the word/name J3sus wasnt allowed here

All in all, I was very pleased with this finale.

I was expecting more from Censordoll.

I had something else in mind for the bear, something else entirely!

I was fully expecting Clay to shoot Orel... again!

The ending was certainly rushed (20 episodes on-going cut down to a hard 13, what else do you expect?)

But, ultimately, I was very happy that Orel wasn't cursed/poisoned/tainted by his childhood (listen to Clay soliloquy in "Sacrifice" again).

I didn't cry, BUT I teared up a bit when Stopframe & Orel went wassailing at Putty's.  I've said it before, Putty's salvation through Stephanie is my favorite story ark in the series.

I only became a MO fan earlier this year, thank God for the fix.  The DVD is my Christmas present to myself this year.

Still hoping for some "Parables of Moralton" specials in the coming years.

Moral Orel is dead.

Long live Moral Orel.

Though I disagree with everything you say, I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Hey, I just joined to chime in my thoughts (late because I'm in Canada and we need, uh, illegal means to see the episode - and I was saving it because I didn't want to be over :smileysad:.)

I thought is was interesting that Orel in the future still puts a cross on his wall, I guess identifying with Christianity. It's nice to see that he didn't lose his faith, even though his father was a total asshole (and I'm an athiest BTW). I think that any of the people saying this insults Christianity need to see that Orel's happy future includes religion before speaking.

I didn't cry, but that scene is Clay and Danielle was quite painful :X. It's apparant that Clay will live the rest of his life in perpetual misery, but...I still want to see what happens to him. He kind of has nothing to live for, unless that Censordall plot plays out into something...? And I want a story of how Danielle and Clay met/started fucking!!

Damn, if this was the planned 20ish episodes, and the planned five seasons, this would have been an unrivaled masterpiece of animation. However, idiocy prevaled and this somehow got cut short when it was in its prime. I am sure that this would not have been cancelled if it were originating from a Canadian station. We played the two unbroadcast episodes of the Boondocks (another brilliant show that had their season cut short because of this station), we use government tax-payer money to finance an animation called "Rick and Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple in the World" and don't censor curse words on TV past ten PM - the only shows with censors are the American ones because they come to us like that. Not that Moral Orel has a problem with language, just trying to say we - and obviously most of you - can handle a stop-motion animation about the extremes of Christianity and don't need higher-ups telling us we're supposed to be stoned at 12:15 AM every night and unable to handle anything that will harsh our buzz. Or something. It's just too damn bad that we have to wait forever until new American cable shows are broadcast (we get shows from NBC and the like on the same day though) and the quality of the required 30% Canadian content can be pretty fucking terrible (the aforementioned Rick & Steve and another animation called "Life's a Zoo" are pretty alright though...anything else...not so much).

Okay, this is becoming/became tl;dr (I was just supposed to metion the cross, but I've been lurking here all season and it all came out!!), so I'll stop and ask if anyone has a copy of the "Raped" script, please let me know and a promise not to distribute it (It's killing me that I missed it when it was on Dino's blog - I was trying to avoid anything related to Moral Orel during the month-long wait for the finale, and that was obviously a poor decision.) And this background of the boards the bear Orel killed (but somehow become a rug...?)

R.I.P. Moral Orel

Edit: Wow, you can't even say damn here without creative spelling...I thought this was "adult swim", not "elementary school student swim" :smileyindifferent: I wonder if Hell would go through...? Hell, let's see...

Those reigion locks are painful as hell, I hate how I can't send any of my Canadian pals online any videos from [AS] for they're viewing pleasure. Though it's good to see that at least the fandom is spread from just the US alone. I think we all would have loved to known a bit more about these characters-- but it's doubtful if anymore will ever be let out.

I wish I had  saved Raped when I saw it-- I was one of the lucky ones but I didn't think to keep it.

What's that then Albert Vaginastein ?

Respect to the canucks.  Hopefully someday your country's respect for animation and free speech will rub off on us.  North America hug!

It's many weeks later, and I still think of this episode from time to time.

I wish it would win an award, to show Lazzlo he's made a terrible mistake, and becasue it deserves it...

But you know, it's not as though the show needs it.

I secretly wish another network would pick it up for a season where Orel is an adult.  But that would be jumping the shark :smileysad:

It's the perfect example to show to someone who thinks AS is all about Family Guy and jokes only stoners find funny.
Oh yeah? One year later, I got beat up at a Neil Diamond concert by a guy NAMED Scrunchy!
