it's a good show but the reason I can't watch it is that the satire feels so caustic it makes me wince =S

Orel's mom in particular, with her hysterical/obsessive-compulsive cleanliness-soulesness gives me the creeps

I'm curious which episodes you saw. I'm not gonna lie, caustic satire is pretty consistent throughout - but overall the series transformed quite a bit from beginning to end so, I'm just wondering which parts made you feel that way.

can't remember hmm there was this episode with the church of satan congregation xD and the other one where his mom takes out the floor boards to clean the other side too lol 

I remember that Orel, mom, dad and others were voiced and portrayed in a way that made me feel it's humanly impossible that they can't see the folly of their obsessive beliefs and the perversions which they lead themselves to... kinda like a bunch of "Master Shakes" but with superficial normality

Hah! 'Satan' makes me wince too Oddly enough the episode I personally have the most trouble watching is the one right before that, 'Love' (the one with the dog) - combination of reasons kinda personal to me, though.

For the life of me, I can't remember Bloberta doing that sounds typical of her, though. One of the great things about season three is getting some insight as to why the characters behave the way they do. I remember that whole 'Father Knows Best' mentality from way back. People really did pretend nothing was wrong - life was sunshine & roses The contrast of reality against the facade may not have been so extreme as it is in Moralton but it certainly existed.

Not to mention, yes the characters may seem to comfortable with themselves. However

no matter what it is in life if we have to live with it we learn how to deal with living with

it. I know you only caught a few eps but trust me the reason why the seem so comfortable

from beggining to end is a mystery they keep secret

those were the same episodes it was the one where you find out about orels dad being gay with coach (I forget his name). and throughout the episode hes praying to god and the devil. that one was good though. Its just a little depressing.

I would love to show moral orel to my uptight catholic family.

of the saddest episodes for me, but one of my favorite.

Its too bad they don't even have reruns at 3 in the morning anymore.

I swear the ep where the dog Orel has is put down impressed me I think it's genious and daring that the ep ended in that way, i.e. the dog is put down, people's envy wins and Orel braces himself and accepts it, if with a pout only in [as]

It is brilliant... I just have a hard time watching that one. I haven't eaten lobster since I first saw it
