Oh, wow.  You obviously don't even get the show.  And btw, you don't have to watch it.  Try changing it when it comes on if you don't like it.  You know, you can tell quite a bit from the littlest things.  Just by your statement, I can tell you are the judgemental, selfish type.  You manage to contradict your own beliefs in a single sentence. lol

Sad to see the show go so young...but at least it ended in a good way(Glad he grew up normal and ended up having a family and what not) and didn't over play it's hand..show was awesome while it lasted and I love the re-runs =)

There's iTune, but that's basically the best you can get for now... and probably forever, unfortunately.

for someone who hates religion, this seems like the right show for you.  but i guess you have to know what you hate in order to actually hate it.

It's so sad that one of the best shows ever made has to end..  but all good things must end, and way to early.  I just hope one day this show is used to educate people on how religion can be a poisonous thing to society, blinding everyone in its path and stunting them from actually seeing the world around them.

From how season 2 went, i thought the show would carry on for much longer. Perhaps this third season is really poor? What other reason could there be?

Well, I think it's because the third season had a lot less comedy to it than the other 2. To me it was a calm, subtle, and personally touching climax.

I've been watching the re-runs  every night now... and I want the DvD's... until then I'll just have to hope that [as] actually puts them in order for once :smileytongue:

Can be, but not necessarily so.  Moral just magnified the negative in the extreme.

Loved this show, but get tired of being preached by the atheist trying to get there twisted message across also.

That's just as poisonous as the examples of religion gone bad  shown on this one of a kind  brilliant  opposite of Davey & Goliath .(Have to be old to remember! lol)

I still believe it was the ratings. There's no logical reason why Adult Swim executives would pass up this show, unless money and profits were involved somehow.

I will miss this show dearly, and I've yet to even see every episode. Like some, I got into the show far too late. From the ads and the few episodes I gave a shot (first season format), it seemed like inane religious satire (instead of how those episodes were actually somewhat well done religous satire). I gave up on it and never imagined until the later days of the 44 nights event that it could have turned into the dark, twisted, and wonderful dramedy that it was in the third season. Unfortunatley, at that point, I was busy and the fuuuuuudgeed up schedule (no other word for it), I didn't end up watching it then much, either.

I'll hold out a while for the DVD, personally. Moral Orel was a rare gem, and I'm sure as hell going to own it somehow. It's great and all that it ended before it got stale, but they were planning 5 seasons all along, so I doubt that was an immediate danger.

If it was anything aside from ratings/production costs, I'd suspect it's because season 3 and the later portion of season 2 deviated too far from the original formula.

Post count... +1!

Interesting show, but it didn't really get good until the Finale, I mean, it was kind of funny and interesting at first, but not enough to hold my interest, which ** Yo Jo e! ** because because of that I wasn't paying attention at first when the sheer awesomeness of the Finale started...

1st of all, I'm stealing the word "dramedy"

Also, its such a shame that it ended so early with so much potential. I agree with you and I actually highly doubt that it would have gotten stale by the 5th season. There was still so much that could have been done with the storyline involving the mayor of Moralton, Rev. Putty's personal life, Orel's relationship with Christina (which could have had so many themes in that little sub-story alone including both new found hope and heartbreak), and so much more.

I really wish [AS] could at least give us some hour long special to at least finish the show properly rather than ending it with some rushed 15 minute clip.

I hope when you think of me years down the line
You can't find one good thing to say
And I'd hope that if I found the strength to walk out
You'd stay the hell out of my way

THis season was defintley my favorite. The dialogue and story got really deep and intellectual, that's probably why it was cancelled.

Season three was more dark comedy. Even though the first season was dark, about around the second season they used darker plots.

I think the most impressive thing about Moral Orel was the fact that it actually carried a plot to it and was still funny. Pretty impressive for a show that is only 11 minutes long. Don't think any other [as] show could make that claim.

Now they give us the PJ's and Xavier?! **BLEEP** ain't right.

I'm sorry to hear that- I feel ya. Consequently I'm still getting over some serious-**BLEEP** issues with depression/ anxiety related to having Post Traumatic Stress Disorder... mostly from dating someone who was heavily addicted to opiates & alcohol.. among other things.. needless to say eventually things weren't so 'nice' when I was a part of this person's life. The thing that's kinda most sad is that I was deeply in love with this person before he developed the addictions (repeat incident but when I met him he was off the **BLEEP**)-- and felt a great affinity for him as a person, because seemed to be such a loving, unique individual before he stupidly allowed the whole chemical addiction dealie to take control of him again.

It's a hard thing to kick- but it's a f u c k of a lot harder to deal with the addiction and slowly kill yourself inside and out (for a hefty f u c k' n price I might add.)

Yeah I know, nothing to do with Orel. Sorry.

Amen.

(aswell as the multitude of other great subtle l'il things they put in there to poke fun at human nature in general.... especially in America- which we all know is one of the biggest sick- f u c k circuses of hypocrisy and screwed up morals ever to exist. EXAMPLE: We teach our children anatomically/ biologically correct terms when it comes to the body-- like hammer and **BLEEP** and they're generally accepted as appropriate terms. Then networks like FOX and TBS 'edit' those words out of ADULT CARTOONS and change them to slang words like 'wang' or 'member' or 'crotch' (today i actually heard 'panties' used in place of **BLEEP**. *sigh*) and declare it to be more acceptable than the terms their own young children are EVEN NOW being taught is the correct terminology. HOORAY FOR INSANELY CONTRADICTIVE MEDIA SENSATIONALISM!! WEEEEE!)

Wow.

Just had to edit this one and point out the unbelieveable irony in the fact that I post a rant about stupidly, unecessarily edited language in the media... and even here-- on [AS].com- a website created for a network of exploding bloody gore, explicit sexual content and more- a network supposedly famous for being 'radical' and anything but mainstream..........

I try to type p e n i s   .... I get 'hammer'

I try to type v a g i n a   .... I get **BLEEP**

... Awesome.

Does **BLEEP** that it only went as far as 3 seasons, I loved the humor in it....... AS still needs to work it in on occasion though, love it when it comes on and I am totally unaware, like a extra treat.

Yeah, I can't wait for AS to put Moral Orel back on the line up. I still love the show, even if there aren't any new episodes coming our way. I wouldn't be as eager to see the show back on the block if the whole series was on DVD.
