Moribito Needs a 2nd Run!

With all the speculation, Moribito's contract might expire soon, but I don't like how it only got played once. At least give it a chance. They probably won't put it on Saturdays since they have better things to play, but I would put it on weekdays at 5:30. Home Movies is at 5:30 and it's been there for way too long, that it gets boring. That show needs to just go away. Does the dead 5:30am slot even get any ratings? I bet Moribito could get as many or more ratings than Home Movies, but the problem is that Adult Swim doesn't want to try to put anime on weekdays anymore, but I think they should at least give it a chance. What's the point of owning the rights to an anime and only playing it once? Maybe if enough people like this, we can convince [as] to replace Home Movies with Moribito until it expires.

I'd like to see it maybe get a second run too. I saw every episode of it except for the finally so I still don't know how it ends.

This.  I missed 21 and 22 on the first run.  11-26 need another run.  Maybe take over the 4 AM weeknights slot like Tim and Eric?   Or blown out in special Friday marathons?  Something...something!
This Saturday Night, on [adult swim]: TOONAMI'S BACK, BlTCHES!! A New Bleach Episode (255) kicks us off at Midnight, followed by the SERIES PREMIERES of Deadman Wonderland at 12:30 and Casshern Sins at 1! Then, we've got 3 back-to-back classics: FMA:B Episode 32 "Fuhrer's Son" at 1:30, followed by GITS: 2nd Gig Episode 17 "Red Data" at 2 and Cowboy Bebop Episode 15 "My Funny Valentine" at 2:30! Also, watch lots of [as] ACTN shows including Durarara!!, The Big O, and more online any time you want at http://video.adultswim.com/action/index.html

Now we just need to get our voices heard, but IDK how to do that but hopefully [as] will realize that this should happen. It stinks that [as]  only aired it once (eps 11-26) and I hope it does air again.

Idea lineups:

If it's played Monday-Friday, then putting it at 5:30am will be fine until it expires. Or this:

Monday-Thurs

10:00 KOTH

10:30 KOTH

11:00 Family Guy

11:30 Family Guy

12:00 Robot Chicken

12:15 Robot Chicken

12:30 Aqua Teen

12:45 Aqua Teen

1:00 PJs

Repeat

5:00 Home Movies

5:30 Moribito

I'm not sure about Fridays... but Saturdays can be:

10:00 KOTH

10:30 KOTH

11:00 Boondocks

11:30 Boondocks

12:00 FMA Brotherhood

12:30 Kekkaishi

1:00 Bleach

1:30 Bleach

2:00 Moribito

2:30 Moribito

3:00 GITS

3:30 GITS

4:00 FMA Brotherhood [encore]

4:30 Kekkaishi [encore]

5:00 Bebop/FLCL

5:30 Inuyasha

Bebop is probably the show most played on [as]. Every episode has been shown so many times... any estimates?

Moribito aired once, which is one time too many. The show should die the miserable death it deserved during its first run. Thank goodness the contract is just about up.

Family Guy aired 9001 times, which is 9001 times too many. The show should die the miserable death it deserved during its 9001 runs. Unfortunately, the contract is still intact.

crazy things happen all the time.

Korgoth not getting a series... which from the noise on the boards was really stupid.

Death Note got decent ratings... yet it still got the axe.

Shin Chan got decent ratings.... yet it still got the axe.

Family Guy getting renewed till 2015.

All of those, especially #4 are financially justifiable.  Moribito doing anything but fading into obscurity with stuff like Dragon Sword and Wind Child is not.

when did they renew FG for 2015? in like 08 or 09?

hows renewing a title for atlease 5 years in the future a good idea? Shows come and go all the time.

heck it was cancelled once already. whos to say it wont happen again? whos to say this next season will end up bombing in the ratings and Fox will cancel it?

then what will [as] have? a bunch of family guy repeats with no new episodes.

family guy is a fad. it could stay around like the simpsons & south park or it could be like king of the hill.

Family Guy makes sense from every manner imaginable.  Financial sense, keeping it off Comedy Central, consistent ratings performance, keeping it off Comedy Central, etc.  Moribito provides NO strategic advantage for the block, ratings wise or otherwise.  You'd get crapload higher ratings if you just aired Pro Wrestling!

Yeah Moribito isn't going to be renewed. Infact [as] got paid to air Moribito, so they aired it at 5:30 and the company got mad for that because no one was watching it at 5:30am. But as long as they give people a 2nd chance, people like me might like it and actually buy the DVD.

You cannot say that it won't get renewed.

Only the ones' in the actual business in doing that will know.

With the way AS has been treating Moribito, I don't think Media Blasters is going to be giving them any more money to air the series. I think AS shot down any chance of the series getting good ratings when they premiered a few episodes in the 5:30 slot.

which is a very good point. heck i know i would be upset if my product got banished in that time and i was paying them to air it.

but hey... its Media Blasters. a really really small company. may be the smallest next to only The Right Stuf International. so if the price wasnt too high, i could see Media Blasters paying [as] to run the series one more time.

Maybe, but I think no matter what, AS is probably not getting as good a deal as they did last time, if for no other reason than that Moribito has already been aired once on their network and gotten the bulk of the exposure that it's going to get from AS. So I don't really see them renewing the series if they're getting a worse deal than they did before when they don't even seem happy with the origional deal.

Moribito would be good filler on Saturday. Even if it was at 5AM or 5:30AM. They have it still so they may as well air it again. Preferably the episodes that haven't been played more than once.

Not a lot of people got to see episode 20 because it got messed up when they had to record it since it was DST. The people who recorded Moribito that night actually recorded the 2nd half of a Fullmetal Alchemist episode (Episode 5) which was odd.

U really think they'd replace Home Movies?

And with this?

Fat chance.

They'd rather castrate themselves than give anime a fair shake.
