Um...actually my old college anime club is the one who puts it on. This our third year doing this convention and our attendance has increased every year, topping out at over 320 last year, a figure we hope to break this year. We have panels, vendors, a game room, and viewing rooms. As well as a cosplay contest. I'll be hosting a panel there called Prove Me Wrong, which will also be appearing at ACen this year.

I'll be going to ACen for the fourth time this year (second time going for the full weekend). I just hope that their event schedule doesn't act scrambled like last time.

it's just a small surprise role in a Hetalia-based stage show. Nothin' special. If you can make it to Khaotic Kon that would be cool. It's a first year con and the more attendees the better.

maybe where and when? I haven't been to a con since otakon in 08 I was completely alone though and it was kinda depressing, I made friends with a cosplay group and we hung out so that was cool.

Yeah, it would be nice if the problems of last year didn't occur again.

So far I'm looking at going to five cons this year

*Anime-Spark since it is the local one for me.
*Karoshi-Con to catch up with Gaynor and get away from CR
*ACEN of course since I get to go for free (HA!)
*Anime-Zing as Davenport isn't too far away, plus I can see about crashing at my Uncle's place
*Anime-Iowa as I will hopefully have been accepted to the University of Iowa and will scout the area.

Busy busy year, but it should be a blast!

Funny story, the guy who runs Anime Iowa was and still is a pert of my old anime club back at NIU. The same club that puts on Karoshi-Con.

Khaotic Kon, Shadocon, and Metrocon all are conventions that put on shows. They're official shows (as in put together by the con owners and not just panels) for the conventions and they're full stage productions with anime characters and video game characters. So cosplay theater kinda. I'm in some of those shows, acting.

you can find some of them on youtube if you search for Shado Tournament 2011 or Breakdance Breakdown 2010 (wasn't in that one, but it's great). They're nothing special, but something fun to do.
