Great manga. I'm enjoying the latest chapters, and I also picked up volumes 1 and 2 at the store. Did anyone buy Del Rey's release? I was wondering what you guys thought of it, because I think they're doing a good job so far.
I loved it. Way better than raws etc. The translation as far as I'm concerned makes 100% sense and I love the extras included. Plus I <3 having an actual paperback version to hold in my hands. It's $11 -- not $10 like regular manga so that can really add up fast but still worth it imo.
It comes out nice and quickly too. The third comes out just in a couple of weeks.

Would it be terribly tacky for me to say that Gray was fired up and Natsu wasn't?

Hey guys, just started reading the manga. Am on chap 4 and that Stellar Spirit, Nicola (Plue) seems familiar. Is it from another anime?
[Edit] Scratch that, I just remembered. That character was also in Rave Master, another of Mashima's mangas.

Yeah. I'm happy with it. The extras are a nice added bonus, and I like how the translator discusses how he/she chose to translate certain lines throughout the manga. Cool stuff. And I had no idea the third one was coming out already. Awesome.
From reading the notes near the end of Volume 2, it seems Hiro Mashima has given Del Rey authentic name translations. Pretty cool of him.

I really need to start buying the Del Rey books. Soon, when I get some spare cash that is. So they have volumes 1 and 2 out so far? And volume 3? Cool. I can buy all three than. Give me something to read on a rainy day.
