THOUGHTS ON EPISODE 4

I had a personal theory a week ago that I held secret from everyone: the reason there's no bishop is that Issei will rank up to that position in the future. Turns out I was partially correct. He actually has the power to rank up to any other position (save for king), including Bishop. Psychic powers are awesome; you should try them sometime.

I know the feel Issei felt when he was trying to get stronger at that playground. I was never good on the monkeybars when I was younger, and I can't even do a decent pull-up nowadays without fearing that my arm muscles will explode.

Issei's Shocking First Bullet isn't shocking enough, and he's about two impalements away from becoming TNK's answer to Haji.

The idea of Asia being Yuuma/Reynalle's (unwilling) slave has a decent amount of fetish fuel to it, but it's also kind of sad (especially considering that her banishment from all church-related activites brought about by her unknowing healing of a demon made her open for pursual), and the crucifixion and extraction of the Sacred Gear she had also kinda killed the moment.

I must've been the only one thinking that Rias was being kind of a b*tch when she slapped Issei and told him to forget about Asia, but I was a little relieved that she didn't slap him for any perverted or illogical reason. Hell, she let him see her bewbage and wasn't at all fazed when he acted all perverted when presented the possibility of getting his own slave. So the only things that irk Rias about Issei are the things relating to his dabbling in the personal affairs of exorcists and his reckless nature.

Yuuto is a bro, and Koneko is awesome. I wonder what it is about Ayana Taketatsu characters (see Mio (from MM!) and Tsugumi (from Generic Cliches, now less generic with less cliches) for reference; if I ever see Azunyan, it will be dubbed).

Freed is still as deliciously creepy as always, but it was awesome seeing Issei punch him in the face.

Asia is pure and Issei's friend, and that's why no matter how many times he sees her boobs, he doesn't act all perverted like he normally does when faced with boobs. Also, that's because episode 2's pantyshot was enough for him.

Well, that was a depressing end to the episode. Hope she makes it out alive, since the theme songs imply she's a main player in the series, and may eventually join Issei's school.

Also, apparently watching the Eureka seveN [as] promo before watching act 2, followed by closing the tab in Google Chrome, causes Shockwave Flash to crash. The preferred alternative to having to shut the window down before opening it back up again.

For my token fanservice series this season, I have a lot to talk about.

liked the episode and Freed is awesome he thinks everything is S hitty and is just completly psycho which is cool lol as for the nun i think she is mega cute and hope issei saves her.

THOUGHTS ON EPISODE 5 (GUILTY CROWN SPOILERS FOLLOW)

Man, this week in anime's been really rough on Yuuki Kaji. First, Shu loses Hare, now Issei loses Asia. The latter was only temporary, thanks to Rias's powers, but still, Asia's death was somehow sadder than Hare's. It was probably the fact that Issei started cursing the heavens with the heaviest emotions he could muster without being mistaken for an emo.

Speaking of which, Rias was awesome this episode. While she doesn't have anger issues like Shizuo Heiwajima, it's obvious that I shouldn't piss her off if I want to live. Such as those three demons learned. It's a shame, i wanted to see more of them. Well, really more of Mittelt.

I don't really see how extracting Asia's Sacred Gear would kill her. Probably universe rules, but it kinda bothered me that no one bothered to check her pulse. Or maybe Bakura told them to but since he gets no screentime, they didn't notice him.

Yuuma/Reynalle is a b*tch. I lost all sympathy for her when she just up and told Issei their date, in her opinion, s*cked. I just started to rage once she started rubbing the fact that Asia was dead into Issei. (Shu never had to put up with sh*t like that; he just reacted, went into battle, and kicked ass like any normal protag fresh out of a BSOD would do.) I'm glad Issei punched her and Rias killed her.

When Reynalle started fangirling about possibly getting to serve under Azazel as a result of stealing Asia's sacred gear, I immediately thought of Azazel-san. Sorry, Reynalle, but you're dead, and Azazel's time is being taken up by Production I.G as they produce the third OVA.

You can never go wrong with a weapon voiced by Fumihiko Tachiki. If he was to narrate this series, he should do it Kaiji-style.

So it turns out there was no bishop because it was reserved for Asia. That was my back-up guess in case the Issei-ranking-up-to-it-in-the-future theory turned out to be wrong. It wasn't wrong, but it wasn't correct either. Funny how that works.

Is that Freed I see with the harem of cute chicks?

Next episode looks more otaku-pandering-y than the most recent episodes (where Issei barely acted perverted at all), but it should be interesting seeing Issei's reaction to being offered to go to second base with Rias. Probably backing out for Asia's sake.

I made the right choice choosing this series. It's definitely one of those series that isn't afraid to break the mold of a standard T&A fanservice anime and go into some pretty gruesome stuff. Qwaser did that too, but it had so much T&A that everyone forgot about the gruesome stuff. Anyways, I'm loving this anime, and I hope it retains its seriousness instead of dropping it halfway through like MM! did. Of course, this is TNK, not XEBEC.

I will say episode 5 was really good lots of butt kicking fallen angel dissentigrating and asia is now a demon and the bishop! i like it alot so far and really there not taking the TnA portion too too far so lets hope it keeps more action oriented!
