I loved that reunion too.  It's too bad that Leorio's chance of winning went down to nothing.

I wonder if Ging has some sort of nen contract that prevents him from being able to meet with Gon. Something tells me he's going to make a mad dash for it, maybe we'll get an epic chase scene.

I have to admit I'm rather relieved about that. As cool as Leorio is, he still seems too young to be a suitable Chairman - besides what would happen to his dream of being a doctor if he was always busy doing Hunter Association stuff? In any case, Pariston should make things more interesting as we move forward. In regards to Gon/Ging, I will honestly be surprised if they come face-to-face. I suspect one or both of them might run away - Gon because he wants to meet Ging on his own terms and Ging because well, he's Ging.

I like that Gon meeting his father isn't treated that big of a deal. The fact that Ging is a ####ty father and is the thing that treated by a big deal by everyone in the background is what makes this chapter a hit for me.

Looks like Pariston misses Netero.

Alright, I confess I wasn't expecting Gon to just run up and say Kite turned into a girl.

Still though, Ging doesn't seem like such a bad guy despite everyone's complaints - that was some solid advice he gave to Gon. Though I suspect that he might not hang around until Gon gets back...we'll see.

But yeah, epic-level trolling by Pariston there. I also like how Gon remembered that Leorio's goal is to be a doctor - not a chairman, I wonder if Pariston expected that or not.

Also, Killua and his brother are going to face-off finally. Next chapter should be exciting.

Hm what exactly is Pariston's deal, just a professional troll? It'd be nice if he'd been featured since the start of the manga so we could get some more back story on him. Maybe he's going to focus on reviving Netero from the dead now.

Ging really is just a terrible father I guess, he has no particular reason to not see Gon, it's great that his character was sort of built up only for him to be an a-hole. But now that Ging's been found, it seems Gon will soon need some new goal in life. Maybe becoming the world champion of rock paper scissors? It's hard to imagine Gon deciding on something specific, it's probably just going to be something like helping his friends when they need it, although that would be a bit too typical shonen, maybe not Togashi's style.

I really want to see an all-out battle between Illumi and Killua, Killua is undoubtedly going to lose, but it's bound to be interesting. It could go several different ways, I'm thinking Illumi will be successful and we'll get an Alluka rescue arc. But perhaps she'll start 'pestering' Illumi in the middle of the battle, forcing him to retreat. I think he's a little too smart for that though, he might try to incapacitate her before anything else.

Go back and reread this arc. Ging explained perfectly well what Pariston was up to.

I'm not in the dark on anything, I was saying that it seems like Pariston has a bit of a history, and we haven't seen much of it. Cheadle reacts vehemently to everything he does, but we haven't really seen his evil side firsthand yet.

Honestly. The other Zodiacs don't like him becaue he always that fake smile on his face instead of showing his true emotions. It pisses them off.

Fakeness is a good enough reason to hate him, but from the start we've just kind of been expected to hate him. He'd be a much more dislikable character if we saw the stuff he was doing under Netero.

I wonder if they're ever going to determine what the hell Nanika is, maybe just your typical genie space pirate who needs a human body to survive? Anyway, it seems like Killua kind of has a purpose now, protecting his sister. She better develop some personality though, if she's gonna be tagging along for the rest of the manga.

His purpose is being Gon's friend and being willing to do whatever it takes to protect him/save him. All that's changed is that he has a sister to protect as well.

That sums up my thoughts, as well.

After all that Killua went through and then Ging running away, I didn't expect this chapter to just be: Things are back to normal,  Gon finds Ging, they talk.

But I guess at this point I'm glad it's not being dragged out. Curious to find out where we go from here.
