Yes, you heard that right.  Aniplex is getting an English Dub together for Puella Magi Madoka Magica!

This series is awesome and worth a run on Adult Swim in 2012, now that it's going to be in the proper language!

Can't wait to find out who the dub cast is...

What does [as] have against short series?  Wouldn't that be just as useful as their shows that are only fifteen minutes long?  Anyway, [as] should get Steins; Gate, such a good series.

You're missing out. Even if Aniplex sells the series for $79.99, it's worth it.

If it does end up on Adult Swim, and due to anime's increased ratings they take a chance on shorter shows, even better. Of course that most likely also means Durarara!! will need to draw bigger ratings too.

I can't really get into Durarara, partly because of the whole feel of it, even though I hear people in OA praising it sometimes.  I feel like [as] would benefit from a shorter series, since more people anime fans would probably support it.  I think a show like deadman wonderland, that has onoly twelve episodes, could have really strong ratings the first playthrough.  It might not last as long as programming a show like Durarara but the ratings I think would be better.

Steins; Gate or even Deadman Wonderland, when I mention these shows as suggestions I'm not even necessarily talking about length (DW is 12, SG is 26 I believe) I'm really just talking about genre.  After having Bleach, Kekkaishi, Blood + where's the science fiction/mystery?  Durarara seems more like fantasy or something like that to me when I watch it tho I must admit I don't know **beast** about Durarara except for the first couple of episodes or so.  I have never seen Madoka Magica so I honestly know nothing about that series either.

I do agree with you that [as] needs to take up the Sci-Fi mantle after Ani-Monday fizzled out on Syfy.

But so far [as] hasn't aired a new Sci Fi anime since Eureka Seven. Although I guess you could count Code Geass as Sci Fi.

I would laugh my ass off if Aniplex really hired a second "Rule 34" cast of Madoka Magica just to air the episodes in a marathon on Adult Swim on April 1, 2012!

But why the fuuuuuudge would they waste money on that when they can just give the OK and Williams Street's comedy hacks could do it for much less:

Seth Green - Madoka
Tim Heidecker - Homura
Dana Snyder - Mami
Eric Wareheim - Kyouko
The voice of Meatwad - Kyuubey

That would really be the most effective way for [adult swim] to troll on its anime fans, especially those of the most "otaku" show of them all.

Not that I would approve of that. I think it would be flat out **beast** terrible, but you've gotta admit it would be an effective troll.

It's still a better deal than what the Japanese got. It's going to cost close to $600 to own this entire series with those limited edition Blu-Rays.

Anyway, this is good news. Though those that imported the Japanese releases are probably saying "FFFUUU" more now that this is getting an English dub.

That can't be right. You're saying discs of 2 episodes each cost the equivalent of $100 each? I thought it was more like $50 for each disc, which has 2 episodes. That would still be $300 though.

Man, the Japanese must be made of money if they're playing those kinds of prices.
