Do you always have to insult me when I disagree with you on something?

Anyways, there's more to liking a character than just being alpha or beta. Otherwise, I would have liked Shu from GC when he turned alpha or I would like Akise (I don't hate him, but I stand by the notion that he is overrated). There's proper transition, there's what the character does when he becomes alpha (you do remember that Yuki killed 8th's children last episode, right?), there's personality, and all that other stuff.

And I have made it clear that I did like Yuki when he was beta. I don't have a problem with beta characters as long as they don't slow down the plot and there's a good reason for them to be beta other than the fact that it's needed for character development or identifiability. And let's be honest, Yuki is still under Yuno's control. He's not quite out of his betaness yet.

I mean in the character. I've said before that a beta character turning alpha doesn't mean jack if the transition is too abrupt, not believable, or just plain bad. While I do slightly agree with some people that Yuki might have changed a little too fast, all the #### he went through, along with the fact that he's not exactly alpha (as Yuno is still practically controlling him) allows me to buy it.

Besides, Nishijima being in love with Minene was harder for me to swallow. I did not read the supplementary manga when I read the chapter the proposal took place in, so the fact that he was in love with her just baffled me. The anime added some of the scenes from the supplementary manga, but not really enough to not think, "Oh he proposed to her. He's doomed."

It's nice that for the most part Yuki has stopped whining all the time, but he seems to be rather enjoying gunning people down.  I guess he plans to win and make it all up to everyone, but it's a pretty radical shift that he's having so much fun.

What was that bit with Deus running his hand through her chest?  Was he looking for a sword?  oO  Was its being an illusion supposed to mean something that I missed?

This latest episode wasn't bad. Mostly cause it focused a bit more on Ninth, who seems to be a bit more interesting than Yuki. The whole thing with Nishijima being in love with Ninth seemed a little forced to me. Ninth's conversation with Deus about the nature of Eleventh's diary made me laugh a little because it reminded me of every game of Team Fortress 2 ever with Ninth calling "h4x!!!" on Eleventh.

But now there is a question of how long certain characters are going to last. Yuki and Yuno will obviously make it to the end. I'm not sure about Eleventh. Eighth is pretty weak, so I don't think she will last much longer. Ninth is in bad shape, but I think she will make it to the end. A lot of what she has learned through battling Eleventh will make her a better opponent for Yuki.

We still don't know who 12th is, right?   I think it's Yuki's mom, who faked her death to allow her to work in secret.

No, Twelfth was revealed and died a long time ago. He was the guy who thought he was a superhero and tried to take on that cult and kill Sixth. In the current OP, he's the guy with an eyeball head mask dancing around and grabbing his junk.

What bothers me about "Yuki and Yuno will obviously make it to the end" is that has been their plan from episode 2 onward. Or at least it was Yuno's from the beginning.

If the final 2 are Yuki and Yuno, there's no describing how lame that is. If she died prematurely, it would be much better. But, that probably won't happen. And if she decides to kill Yuki last minute, I would have called it from episode 1. They probably won't be even that inventive, though.

And I know you guys are going to hate this, but if you haven't heard, this anime is taking a break next week, so your torture of watching this show goes on a week longer. HAHAHAHAHA.

No, I mean Yuno's plan of having Yuki and her survive until it's just them, and then Yuki kills her.

If it goes down like that, it'll be pretty boring and predictable. It'd be better if she dies partway.

It can only really go 2 ways from there: Yuki can't bring himself to kill her or she betrays him. The only thing they could do that would be surprising is Yuki doesn't hesitate to kill her, and despite the show's desperate struggle to be edgy, I don't think it's edgy enough to do that.

Whereas a lot more possibilities open if Yuno's plans don't follow through.

I'm still holding out hope on Ninth. I don't think she is done just yet. I have her in my final 3 at least.

Well yeah, but when the anime just flat out says that the two will become one on a certain day (granted, how you interpret that and whether or not that's the main goal of the show can make it more ambiguous) and that certain day hasn't arrived yet, you know that they're both going to survive until that day comes. As much as it tries to be edgy, it is a teen show.

Nor do I know what date they're on.



Plus, the show is about changing other players futures to kill them.I mean, one of the biggest plot points from the first episode at all was that the diaries would change when the future did. We haven't actually heard anything about the "coming together" particular plotline in ages, either.

Overall, decent episode. But

Ninth really could have just shot Yukki's phone.

And ll at the ####tiness of some of the action. The first scene was almost brilliantly bad in animation quality.

Yuno opens the episod by cutting some guy in half. A bunch of people stand around looking startled, while a #### COP stands right next to her with a gun drawn and a surprised expression. Then, she turns and stabs some other guy, and the cop doesn't change position at all, not even off screen. And she swings at him, getting no form of reaction until she's cut throug his armtorso. That guy was the worst cop ever. He just stood there, less than a foot away from someone who was chopping people in cop outfits up.

This was a fairly decent episode. I'm curious as to what is really going on with Yuno. Just who is she really? I have a theory on it, but I'll save it for now. Akise getting to meet Deus is a bit suspicious, I'm not sure what he has planned. And just what is Eighth really capable of? She's lasted this long even though she doesn't seem to have any reason to kill anyone.

No she got distracted by the phone then he was behind her with his gun to somehow be an ace shot and shoot the gun out of her hand.

Thats not the strange thing.

The strange thing is when Akise is more shocked when hes talking about Yuno.

Shes been saying the whole time that shes Yuno... then they doubt her... then it turns out she really is yuno... and everyones like... OH MAN THIS IS UNEXPECTED!

I'm pretty sure they're going to explain the Yuno thing in the most bull####tiest way possible. I just don't care enough to be disappointed or upset any more. At least it's better than Umineko.
