Good chapter. Hancock proved again how Haki can defeat even Logia types. I wonder when will Luffy & company learn about and use haki?

I gotta say, Hancock is gaining points in my book.  Though I can't forgive her kicking kittens. >_<

Hancock is sucj a fricken beast. She goes from "IMMA KICK UR AZZ" to "LUFFY DEAR, HOW I LOVE YOU <3<3<3" in a milisecond. It was so epic and funny. She owned Smoker pretty good.... and effortlessly! (tho it was kind of by surprise).

Now there are two shichibukai that have changed sides.

Anyways, looks like the focus for next week may be on Kuma. Can't wait to hear WHAT happened. I doubt he DIED, but I bet it has something to do with "killing his old self" etc etc....

Don't you remember?

Smoker said he would let Luffy escape in Alabasta, but the next time he sees him, Smoker won't hesitate to take him down.

I just didn't expect Luffy to lose to anyone on the ground there though. Although if anyone was strong enough to take him on, it's Smoker.

The only people I'd imagine Luffy losing to are the Admirals. Sure there are others, but I sort of forgot about how strong Smoker is in relation to his position (He's a **BLEEP** Logia) and how close he was to Luffy on the battlefield. As in, I thought he was too far away to make a move against him now.

So Dream and I have this ridiculous theory.

This chapter had two important parts that may be linked together.

Firstly: The grave Zoro and Perona are at. Why are they at a grave? Why did KUMA send them to an area with a gravestone? A gravestone so big, A TRYANT must have been buried under it.

Now, DoFlamingo said something to Ivan, that Kuma they know is dead. Dream brought up how Iva has been in Impel Down for ages, so he must've known Kuma for AGES. Hence, Kuma must be pretty old, actually, he may be dead. I thought Kuma was dead in the whole "he is a new person" kind of way. Well, not anymore. The grave Zoro and Perona are at has to be Kuma's.

so Kuma DID die, but Vegapunk resurrected him and performed experiments on him. He was brought back to life, or maybe not. It's hard to guess this stuff. And that is all.

Maybe it's kinda like a Shadow the Hedgehog thing

The real Shadow (Kuma) died.

Dr. Gerald (Vegapunk) made clones

There's a lot of ways this can go.

Considering his actions up until the war, and what he said about Dragon, it would appear that the man Ivan was referencing still existed in Kuma.
However, maybe Kizaru ratted him out and they wiped his mind between then and now.
Maybe Doflamingo doesn't even know what he's talking about, and Kuma is more alive than he thinks.

I've been thinking for a while now that Kuma sent each of the crew members to specific and relevant places, (like Nami to a place were weather seems important), so your gravestone theory may be on the money. The hard one to figure out was Sanji... Okama heaven.

He was just **BLEEP** with Sanji.

Or he wanted him to learn about Ivan.

Didn't he want to become a fearless warrior, maybe that guy can help him in some way?

Really?  I actually saw that coming.  The quickest way for the pirates to gain the advantage in this battle is to take care of the Shichibukai first, and with Jimbei and Hancock defecting, Moria KOed, Blackbeard elsewhere, and Mihawk abstaining from most of the fight cause he's too cool for it, that only leaves Kuma and Doflamingo as the only Shichibukai actively fighting.  I gotta admit, seeing Hancock so livid and then turning a 180 when Luffy speaks to her was priceless. =D

But now I'm worried about Kuma.  What does Doflamingo mean that he's dead?  Does he mean that Kuma hasn't been alive this whole time, or that he just recently died?  And how does Doflamingo know this?

Probably the typical "The ______ you knew is dead".

He was probably brainwashed or something?

Also I thought Luffy one-shotted Smoker with the Jet Gattling, nice to see he levelled up as well.
