Welcome to the discussion thread for the Fall 2011 series, Persona 4 The Animation. Based on Atlus' critically acclaimed 2008 PlayStation 2 RPG, P4A is a supernatural high school murder mystery scheduled to run for 25 episodes. The story is about a young high school student - Yu Narukami - sent to live to with his uncle and cousin for one year in the sleepy town of Inaba in rural Japan. However, upon his arrival, the town is rocked by a string of mysterious deaths. Could these deaths be linked to the Midnight Channel (Mayonaka TV), a TV station said to appear if one stares at a turned off television screen at midnight when it rains...? Yu and his new found friends work to uncover the truth behind the deaths and the Midnight Channel, all the while aided by the mysterious power of Persona...

A word of note: As there are people who have not played the game on which this series is based upon, I advise those who have to PLEASE MARK YOUR SPOILERS WITH THE SPOILER TAG. The general rule of thought should be, if it hasn't come up in the series, then it ought to be marked.

P4A will begin airing in Japan on October 6. For those of us outside of the Land of the Rising Sun, the series will be available to watch legally and for free on the Web. A same-day simulcast will be available at The Anime Network. Hulu will offer its stream 24 hours later.

I'd watch this, but the game is sitting on my shelf(along with Persona 3, halfway through i think) waiting to be played. It would probably be a bad idea to ruin the storyline for myself, and then play through 100 hours or so of the game knowing everything. I wouldn't get the complete experience.

Anyway, enjoy the anime Persona fans. I sincerely hope it's a good adaptation, unlike that other Persona anime.

Im happy with so much of the info so far.

The VAs, the music, the art... it all looks so good.

I know theres gunna be tons of rage over who the MC gets with.

Im a Naoto and Chie person myself... but well see what happens.

There is ONE thing i want to happen in the series though.

If they do this one thing, i will be incredibly incredibly happy.

I want MC to use multiple personas.

I dont want him using the main one, i forget its name, for the whole length of the series.

If he changes at least 2 times... then changing back to like the upgraded version of the main one in the end... I will explode in nerdgasam.
