There's another thread that talked about this in the Toonami folder.  It's from the "How to Bring Toonami Back Permanently" thread.

I think the source is in that thread.  I think it said Steve Blum's message is on Facebook.

Apparently, people are spazzing out because AS pulled an April Fool's stunt (with Blum on board) of replacing the block with Toonami for a night.

While pretty neat, the fuss over it is still silly as hell.

they only real reason for the fuss, is because on April 3RD, Adult swim said that they were considering bringing Toonami Back FOR REAL!, had they not said that, it would've came and went

It was silly until [as] twitter account basically said: "if you're interested in Toonami coming back, let us know."

That's when people started to freak, since the more fuss we raise the better chance it has of actually making a return.
