It's not techniquely anime or manga, but I'd say its pretty **noel** close.  So I'm assuming it should be okay to discuss here. 

What's your favorite?  What are you reading now?

Even though everyone says its "babbys first vn" Fate/Stay Night is still my favorite. 

With Katawa Shoujo I liked the idea of an English made one, but it just honestly wasn't that good.

Read the Fate/Stay Night VN!  Have you seen the anime?  It was **noel** compared to VN.  They did weird stuff in the anime.

I'm having a good time with Katawa Shoujo & Hatoful Boyfriend. I'm currently suffering through Enzai Falsely Accused as to document my descent into the madhouse that is French prison.

I also got Steins;Gate up and working which is awesome

Haha Enzai was awesome.  It just needed better art.  If you like BL stuff then read Togainu No Chi.  Keisuke is my husbando.

I actually just finished "acquiring" Steins;Gate so I hope to start on that soon.

Hmmm... my favorite would either be Utawarerumono or Comic Party. Tsukihime was pretty good as well. Planetarian is something special as well for how much it could do with so little. I played Little Busters in Japanese and somewhat enjoyed it, but I imagine with the English patch it'd be a lot more fun. Back when I would play eroge, I enjoyed a lot of Elf stuff. Dokyuusei 1 and 2 particularly. AliceSoft also has some really good games I remember.

Alicesoft makes Rance so they are good in my book.  Tsukihime is one of my favorites.  I guess overall I am a type-moon fangirl.  Nitro+ has a lot of good stuff too.  I liked Saya no Uta cause it was so short and easy to go through. 

I haven't read Utawarerumono cause it seemed kinda boring to me.  And the characters looked annoying.

Definitely not boring. Only reason to avoid it would be if you don't like tactics-based RPGs.

Or less. Cause the winged beings (Urutori and Kamyuu) don't.

I've played Planetariun, Utawarerumono, and Katawa  Shoujo.  I'd like to play more, but they take up soooooo much time.

To me, I like Enzai's story, I'm motivated to talk to everyone in order to clear my name, and I like Vallewida enough to want to do his route, but the game could have been so much better if it didn't have all of those prison rape scenes, or at the very least kept them to 2 or 3 depending on who's route you're going through. It just takes me out of the story of getting Guys out of jail when he's getting an ass full of Jose.

I just got through the beginning of Steins;Gate with Okabe going back out on the streets after playing Apacaman. The cellphone is pretty awesome and gives the game an interactive feel to it

My first VN was Tsukihime. Despite the low production values, I really enjoyed it and Kagetsu Tohya. And after a lifetime of searching, I finally found F/SN and enjoyed that a great deal as well, and am now spending yet another long time looking for the voice patch and hollow ataraxia. I'm also hype for Mahoutsukai no Yoru now that it has an actual release date.

I've also played Katawa Shoujo, and enjoyed it a great deal as well. I'd be interested in seeing more independent VNs like that, both western and Japanese.

I haven't played it, but I watched a playthrough of Saya no Uta and have been interested in getting it myself, so I'll probably get it when JAST USA releases it. I'm also hoping that they get Steins;Gate. I loved the anime, so I'm sure I'd have a good time with the original VN.

Ive only attempted F/SN... never finished it. I was expecting more nudity than what I got.

Yeah, playing F/SN or any Type-Moon game for the porn alone is doing it wrong.

If you want nudity, don't play with anything from type-moon.  They're more about plot.  But there are ones made specifically for fap material.

I am so waiting for mahou! I hope ataraxia gets finished translated soon.  I can read Japanese okay, but I have trouble with kanji so it takes 3x as long for me to read in Japanese then English. 

Saya no Uta is definitely worth getting.  Though I'm kinda annoyed that Jast licenses everything that has already had a translation for a long time.

I decided to try Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime, and Utawareumono. Can anyone tell me how hentai they are(not looking for details just wondering if a lot or little)?

Very little in terms of how long the games take. Again, if you're after porn, then those 3 are a bad choice.

ive yet to actually complete a visual novel >_>. sadly there isnt many translated or OELVN (original english language visual novels) otome (girl) games out there. so i havent played many most of em seem to either be hentai or geared towards guys.

i did start a couple lets see...not rly a VN but ive played tokimeki girls side 1 and 2 those are alotta fun <3333. ive almost completed (p)lanets another OELVN i need one more route. i started playing katawa shoujo but im still on act1 i think. started playing brass restoration, ive yet to finish yo-jin-bo, theres absolute obedience i played through 2 routes.....oh and of course hatoful boyfriend! i just need 2 more routes with that lol. oh! i also started playng this alice in wonderland otome game buut eh i gotta use ATLAS since its in japanese and ATLAS transslates stuff poorly. same with this other otome game....i did ifnd a video walkthrough but thats only for the teachers route s those two kinda take the back burner i think the alice otome game is gettng translated too, same with love revo <3

I dunno. It felt like I was trying to watch The Green Mile on VHS but because I got it from a college vendor run by an a-hole, there are segments of the movie that have prison rape porn recorded over it. I mean, yeah, prison sex does happen in prison, but for the sake of the story, Guys doesn't need his ass/mouth to be destroyed after EVERY day
