Not bad, but you'd think the .hack// franchise would be ready for new main character types or something.

Rewatched Spider-man (1994) S3 ep 11
It really is fun rewatching these eps now that I've been a Marvel comic book geek for 13 years.
The first time I watched these eps in 1997, I had no idea who Tony Stark, Iron Man, and War Machine were.

Batman: TAS - Robin's Reckoning (parts 1 and 2)
Why is this children's cartoon from the early 1990's (holy hell that was a lot longer time ago than I thought) way better than 90% of my mature Japanese animes for mature people such as myself (and still better than 9% more)?

I love that "Question" song and dance during the quiz.
I could probably listen to that for five minutes and not get sick of it.

Hetalia Vol. 4 Extras disk The Hidden History Behind Hetalia was very interesting, except for the writers being directionally challenged. They put the Gobi Desert in "Mongolia and Southern China" and said that Prussia was calling Germany "West" because when the two were one country, Germany was on the eastern border of the combined nation. Oo
And I really enjoyed hearing the 2.5 min version of Marukaite Chikyuu. That's half an episode worth! Plus all of Chibitalia in one place (at least up to when Holy Roman Empire left, with Chibitalia's push broom as a keepsake).
I think my favorite thing I learned was a) that English words for food animals (cow, pig, chicken, sheep) derive from German, while the words for the meat (beef, pork, poultry, mutton) come from French, and b) why that's so. ![]()

Looks like they finally locked the other thread.
Huntik 1 - 8 (This is a pretty fun show so far, especially considering it's not even anime really; it was actually made in Italy I was surprised to see. Media Blasters did a U.S. release for it though a while back, but now they've actually managed to get it on TV here on Nicktoons, where it started premiering last week.)
