A sequel to Outlaw Star?

I recall in the early 00s there were rumors about a sequel to Outlaw Star.

Then things died, and to networks the show has faded out of sight and out of mind for the most part.

So I started thinking about those rumors, and how sure people were of their validity. I've searched the internet high and low. Nothing.

Is anyone out there better informed than me on this subject?

There is a spin off series involving the 2 cops from the episode called Law and Lawlessness. Fred Lowe is seen in the first episode of that series. That is all.....

That was Angel Links, and that show is awful. I was doing reading, there was (as of 2001) a planned sequel OVA, and a prequel series for Outlaw Star.

I just finished watching the show for the first time last week, so I'm glad I was spared several years of pondering sequel possibilities. :smileytongue: Outlaw Star is one of the (reasonably) rare series for which I could see a sequel working rather well and not cheapening the feeling of the original; the ending was the sort that makes you feel like you could check in with the main characters some time down the road and find them up to the same old antics.

That would be cool... seeing how the characters have changed (and how they haven't) after that amount of time. I'd like to see that happen. :womanhappy:

any sequel would have to be better than Angel links.  Angel links was an interesting idea that went horribly wrong somewhere.

^ I am with you, I love Outlaw Star... I own the DVD's and even purchased the spinoff which ** Jinkies ** beyond belief.. I would suggest to you to pick up Coyote Ragtime Show. It has the Outlaw Star feel to it and is worth looking into. The only problem I have with the show, it's a bit short but other than that it is a great show. Episode one is Stellar...
glittercupcakes is an Angel, rukiasoul is a Godess, kirarajean is a strange girl who lives in my closet, beautifulmayhem is my personal masseuse & I am her personal masseur, redvampire is my Queen, greymorningdove is my wife, anani is the beholder of my heart, greatwhite was my roommate at a mental institution. My covenant: eta_11, sahockeygirl15, simpleanime, anime4sabrina, nrrdgirl, cc-kellen, crushrose, god-says-no, sango868, Dortatus, amons_hot is my little hippo and hellokatty is a Star...

It'd be great. xD  It's been a while, so I think I'll re-watch it again.  LOL
