This is why Outlaw Star should come back to AS

So I was browsing ANN the other day, and I stumbled upon a transcript of ASA's ratings from 2002.

*
Cowboy Bebop (11:30 p.m.) * 0.9 rating (up 125%); 442,000 delivery (up 151%)
* Outlaw Star
(1 a.m.) * 0.9 rating (up 125%); 414,000 delivery (up 135%)
* Yū Yū Hakusho (11 p.m.) * 0.8 rating (up 60%); 378,000 delivery (up 80%)
*
Gundam 0083(12 a.m.) * 0.8 rating (up 100%); 398,000 delivery (up 131%)
*
Mobile Suit Gundam (12:30 a.m.) * 0.7 rating (up 133%); 349,000 delivery (up 136%)

Even though it was a recycled Toonami broadcast, the fact that it came in 2nd for the night with 400k+ viewers is really impressive.

With Bandai Ent's new business model, I'm hoping that AS and Bandai can strike a deal to air Outlaw Star uncut.

like i said, one day you will "know" all about god (and his wrath) anyway. but keep watching your animes.

Good reasoning there, but  still won't happen.

I guess we could dream.

My Signature says no!

For the answer read the above statement.

We need to make it happen. Even if it means throwing eggs at [as] and their cars.
Anime I'm watching: Eureka Seven AO, Mysterious Girlfriend X

take in the fact that this was in 2002, when anime was booming in the US and people actually enjoyed anime and were actively watching it. I don't believe we'd get these ratings if these same shows aired today.

I'd have to check, but those ratings aren't dramatically different from what you'll see Bleach pull currently.. and though I would love, and [as] might love to air the show uncut, that has to do with Turner standards and practices, not the guys at Williams Street and not the guys at Bandai.

It couldn't do much worse than what's been on lately...
