Outlaw Star

I have never seen this show [Firefly], I am aware that it is live-action, however, I know little more than that.   What are some of the similarities between Firefly and Outlaw Star? Would it be worth my time to check it out? Although recently I have not found any live-action shows to be very intresting at all, especially sci-fi shows.  Some exceptions would be The Wire and House( I am in med-school so this show is amazing to me). I also watch a lot of History and Discovery Channel show but I don't really count these because they usually fall in the non-fiction category.

Also, where do you go to school?  You have an anime club. I am somewhat jealous.  What kind of activities go on in a school's anime club?

Saratoga High School in Saratoga, CA. I'm the President of the Anime Club, and last week, I showed the first episode of Outlaw Star, "Outlaw World."
This week, I'm thinking of showing either episode two, or episode one of either RuroKen or Trigun.

Oh, you are in High School.  For some reason I got the impression you were in college and had an anime club at that level.  Although I must say I went to 2 differrent High Schools in 2 different states and I was not lucky enough to have an anime club at either school.

Do you and Faucon attend the same school then?

P.S.  We always have some sort of relaxing activity after Judo practice.  Hideki sensei always likes to show anime about once a week, other times we play Go or Mahjong.

RuroKen is an instant classic. you should watch it asap (though you can stop after season 2 since 3 is filler and the manga had the better ending arc). and the trust and betrayal ova is a must see for anyone

It was a solid anime, not the best, but an old school classic better than the newer ** blarg ** they turn out.

Outlaw star is a classic but the kind of spin-off Angel links was really stupid.

well worth the $20 i spent on it
