Showing Who framed Roger rabbit reminded me that, Disney and Warner were working on a sequel to Roger rabbit and managed to get 2/3rd's of the way finished before they both pulled the plug.
"Disney" decided they didn't want to continue with Standard 2D Animation despite making much money off such. None the least of which, was to shut down the division's in Australia, Japan, & Europe that made the Goofy Movies and their formerly succesful Afternoon Series like Alladin and Tarzan. As, their Pixar 3D Division was supposed to replace everything. Despite Mr. Ipod himself Steve Jobs vehemently arguing in favour of Classic Animation. In the end they only held onto their Burbank Division out of tradition sakes.
"Warner" proved themselves even stupider than Disney in the above case. After running their only smart people out. The likes of good ol' Ted Turner and his loyal allies who wouldn't play patty cake with the new idget galoots that were put in charge by some New York Arseholes whom, I won't waste time mentioning as, I don't wish to give them anymore credit than I have too! Even "Old School Common Sence" business men that the deceased Steve Ross who, rebuilt the nearly empty shell of Warner Bros. into the insanely powerful and sucessful Warner Communication's were run out. With all these smarter folks gone, Time-Warner became as shortsighted as, one could be on their view of Animation. Despite "all" of their Animated Divisions making GOOD Money. These New York Elitists chose to not only shut down their own Animation Divisions for the exception of Two. But, highly cut back the freedom the remaining had left in their "Creativity". Which translated to "Economic Ruination". Not to mention they both, Warner more particularly than Disney but, Disney to a lesser degree as well! Have purposely curtailed the extrememly lucrative "Anime Market" due only to the "WEAK" preassure of the Parent's Television Commission ever squeaky wheel nagging some lazy NY and LA executive's ear!
Warner has begun against surprising odds to begin producing really good series again like Thundercats, Young Justice, and Batman , The Brave and the Bold. However since such shows have all been pulled from Cartoon networks schedul. Hopefully temporarily due to new episodes being in the making.
However if they never reappear except in reruns if even that, I won't be the least bit surprised!!
