Yes, there is nothing like bad anime to give all anime a bad name!  Kekkaisi was written for children; it is neither adult nor really anime as such.  It is a children's show written for spastic, short attention span, youngsters who are too young to handle or understand more serious or complicated subject matter.  While the death of a main character is a bit heavy for strictly children's fare, the emotional shallowness and rapid fire situational changes in mood and behavior suggest it was written  indeed by and for 8 year olds. 

I also want it on record that I hate China, IL (I find the songs tragically addictive and will go to despirate lengths to rid myself of them).  More than anything else currently on [AS} I abhor Thursday nights in their entirety.  I just don't bother to watch at all on Thursdays rather than bleeding from my nethers and ears as my brain and internal organs attempt to escape the travesty on the screen via self destruct. 

I miss Venture Bros!  I hate that each season takes so long...sigh

I agree Kekkaishi that totally **noel**! But understand this, this style of anime is known in Japan as the genre called Shonen(very low-grade shonen); primarily for little kids and middle schoolers at best. I have not watched China, IL because from what little I have seen from previews it does not particularly seem funny. So I don't bother seeing it.

I too miss Venture Brothers. The good news however is that Adult Swim has signed on for season 5 and 6 with Doc Hammer and Jackson Public.

One last thing is I hate all of the live-action comedies(except for Garth Merengi's Darkplace; because it was from the BBC) and I espcecially miss Anime showing during the week after showing the cartoon comedy shows.

Aaaaarrrhhh!! 

As if the live action plague wasn't virulent enough! 

The Vomit Twins have returned like a particularly itchy, seeping, sticky, bleeding, cracking, stinking, putrid rash!!  They interrupt the regular [as] line up like an airhorn at an opera.  Stick 'em in a sewer like they belong, or at the very least in the septic tank that is Thursday night.  T&E are about as welcome on a weeknight as herpes at  a nudist colony.  I would say they inhale sharply, but vacuums are useful and who doesn't enjoy that sort of thing every now and again?  They blurt, they spew, they ooze, they suppurate, they seep, and leak like a bad case of gangrene; their inclusion on weeknights is a surprise much as finding your grandmother being eaten by her Pomeranian.  

I could go on and on about how much I loathe and deplore the T&E R-tard show; but my flicking off the channel and watching infomercials instead should be sign enough! 

Whew!  Was saving that up for a few days; feel the hate! 

Not all that thrilled with the idea of missing all my anime (such as there is) on Saturday for the Clone Wars marathon either; kinda hatin' it, really. 

ps: whoo hoooo...season 5& 6!  a reason to live!  lol

I don't know what's worse, the anime on this channel or the zealots defending them like I'm drawing the Prophet Muhammad in compromising positions.

Let's start with the shows. First there's Bleach, a ADHD riddled, failed fashion designer's trollfest that's jumped the shark so many times Fonzie is stunned, and even his publisher has told him to get it over with while they push Toriko.

Second is Kekkaishi, a show for 8 year olds. A bad show for 8 year olds. The block is called ADULT Swim, and Lord knows if it was Western, would have been considered a candidate for the TVTropes "So bad it's horrible" section. So fuuuuuudge your preteen bull-#### and fire the moron picking them up.

FMA Brotherhood- yeah, a kid and his robot partner fight crime in the streets of Not!WWI Germany. Couldn't we do a comedy version with Seth Green playing the robot? It would be watchable.

Durarara- Zzzzzz. It's impossible to stay awake for a show that bad.

And yet, despite how #### terrible these shows are...people still defend this block! The programmer is a tactical genius? The shows are great examples of what the medium is? The standards should stay put?

NO, NO, NO.

This block of fail is better off dead, since we know it's not improving. At all.

I am must defend if only to prove his point and point out not all of the anime in the Adult Swim block is the best.

1. Bleach is a decent show except right now because the current story arc is pure filler. Later, hopefully, the main storyline will kick back in.

2. Kekkaishi is pretty bad. It's like a dumb downed version of Inuyasha except the female lead in Kekkaishi is B!+cher then Kagome.

3. Fulmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is total garbage compared to the orignal anime Fullmetal Alchemist. Way Better and also aired on Adult Swim.

4. Durarara is one of the best anime I've seen since watching AdultSwim and that includes Cowboy Bebop, The Big O, Samurai Champloo, Ghost in the Shell SAC,etc,etc,etc.

So no this anime block which happens to be only on Saturday and never any day during the week would not be better off dead. The Live-Action Comedy fracking garbage should go down the tubes.

While I understand everyone has unique tastes and/or interests; I despise, nay, LOATHE every single show on AS that features "real people" . e.g. Check It Out, Children's Hospital, SUV-AS-PMS (or whatever the hell it's called), etc etc... I know it must be difficult to ignore the repeated requests, threats, whining, crying, and #### from the focus groups of said shows (12-33 yr old, single boys/men) to produce their suggestions and fantasies and the pressure must be......luke warm. Seriously, why?? Who thinks, besides the catatonic, there is anything funny or interesting about these shows? Perhaps, it's my "delicate" sensibilities that makes me hate those shows so much. Maybe 'cause I'm female? Older? More mature?...... nah, it's 'cause I have taste, intelligence, humor. Please, I beg you--Remove these abortions from your programming. Even China, Il is far superior. And soon, much too soon you insist on adding another????? Loiter Squad.  AdultSwim has always been a favorite of mine, like chocolate, chicks in bikinis, anime, dead Exes, nipples, and Christmas.  
Can one person change the world? Make a statement. Do this for me.

Since they are messing with AS tonight, I'm watching Bleach.

Holy hell is this show bad. Both in writing and in animating. Unnecessary explication, terrible action sequences, and no spatial design so I have no clue where characters are in relation to each other.

Also the dub is terrible.
