If the title confuses you, let me explain.
I am in my second semester of grad school, and the stuff I need to do has sky rocketed. Last semester the classes I was taking while difficult to some degree, was very manageable. I was taking rad safety, which for any nuke-e major was pretty much just a guaranteed A, because it was being cross taught with a bunch of math fearing pre-med students. The other class was "nuclear thermal hydraulics", and even though were buried in PDE in stuff like the heat equation and the graetz problem. It was still doable. Aslo the teacher was very lax in his time scales that he would allow you to turn in stuff. Oh, and as far as research was going, I was reading papers endlessly until I could find what I need.
Now this semester has hit. The dreaded reactor lab has hit me in the face. I have to write a paper on error propagation in neutron activation analysis. I'm already at 15 pages and growing. This thing is due on monday, so I have a week to hammer it out. Then in my semiconductor class, we've been given our class projects. The guy I'm teamed with doesn't really know what to do (or has no project at the moment), so we're using mine. Now I have to send him info on it and show him what I've been doiung, Hopfully his english is better than the last guy I got teamed up with. Then, with all this going around, I have my actual research work. I need to score and break this chip into multiple smaller pieces that we can use. Then I need to metalize them by putting strips of Ni on them to make Schotty diodes.
I'm just a bit overwhelmed. I've got a lot of reading to do with respect to my research. I've got a lot I need to read for my first term paper in NAA.
Oh, and I have my SEM classes every week.
I know this is grad school, and I shouldn't be spurprised that this happens. But man, I'm tired, I feel like I've got too much to do, no time to do it. I'd just like to sit back for a minute or something.
