The majority of people are probably not worth your time either, depending.
I've gotten to the point where usually I don't give a ####. I've accepted the fact that the vast majority of people are idiots. Accepting this and not expecting anyone not to make a fool of themselves has helped to make me a much happier person. Occasionally I still get extremely annoyed though. The past couple of days have been like this. When people just choose to parrot what some fat, angry fuuuuuudge with a blog says instead of researching for themselves. When people ask stupid fuuuuuudgein questions they should already know the answer to, because there is no way in hell they can't know. When people pretend to be an expert on something but haven't taken any time to actually learn about said thing.
A few people I know just parrot bull #### from stupid ass pundits, bloggers, or friends who don't know ####. About anything. They just pretend they do and know how to "sound smart." So they buy into this crap, regardless of affiliation. It's not hard to google. It's not hard to read for yourself. It's not hard to think for yourself and come to a real opinion as opposed to one you took from a friend because you're an idiot.
At work I'm asked stupid questions all the time. I don't mind answering questions. I really don't. Usually anyway. I had a teacher once who told me there was no such thing as a stupid question. That teacher was wrong. A lot of times questions are valid. However, apparently it's hard for some people to come up with a valid one. "Do you sell ice cream" HURRRRR the sign outside that you absolutely 100% CAN'T miss says we do.
It's like, the first #### thing the sign lists. Also please don't ask me something stupid, like "what's in vanilla ice cream?"
How am I supposed to answer that? Especially when I ask you if you want to know nutrition facts or something and you say "No I just wanna know what's in vanilla ice cream."
Really?
Then when someone acts like they're an expert on something yet they prove they aren't. Oh but then they have to continue to act like they are, even after being proven wrong. Let's take the "music genres don't exist" people. Okay, first off, you wouldn't say this about movies would you? Yeah, you wouldn't. You also wouldn't call movie genres subjective when the catagorizations are based off of specific qualities. A certain type of music, which was at one point unnamed, had a term attached to it. Said term was meant to describe that particular style based on specific qualities. This makes categorization easier. This makes finding new bands a far easier and better experience. Wow, Owls! could be hip hop by your logic, captain music expert with the authority to claim specific styles of music, movies, stories, or tv shows don't exist when they obviously do regardless of what you feel like calling them. When I point this out and I'm NICE about it and explain it to you, don't get butthurt. Don't turn into a passive aggressive piece of #### or start attempting to personally insult me. I didn't do that to you.
These are just three examples of annoyances in the past few days that have come to mind. Things that remind me I don't need to expect people to actually think or act pleasant.
