If possible...find a new roommate and give him very little notice. At his crestfallen face about potentially being homeless...taunt him....then enjoy his depression and tears. Ask him,"Surely you are not depressed about his...cause it's not real remember?"

I think its the anti depressants that are a load of crap. Considering most have side effects of depression and suicidal tendencies.

My father said the same thing before a stroke made him have to be put in a psychiactric ward where they diagnosed him with Depression and PTSD.

So well, what the fuuuuuudge does your room mate know? Not a damned thing that's what!

I'm just sorry you have to put up with that, I spent 6 years from 1999-2005 depressed to the point I put a gun to my head at my lowest point and all during that I had to hear, "You just want attention, depression is all in your head."

So yeah, it's not my fault here, but I am so sorry for you having to endure that kind of ignorance.

It's all good, I came to terms with what was making me depressed and have been free of it for nearing five years now.

Someone who has never experienced depression usually dismisses it.

When they had me on that crap I was on a cocktail of Aderal, Zoloft, and a couple of others. Everything but Zoloft made me suicidal and Zoloft made me not eat.

I've had people try to put me on anti depressants after that and I rfesuded them. One guy even tried to Baker act me. Until I told the police my history with anti depressants.

There are a stunning amount of people who still have the whole "you just need to cheer up" mindset for dealing with depression. You have my sympathies.
