...ok, now that the Upfront in NY has made it official, next theme to get the RC treatment is the delightful DC universe!

Yep, Superheroes is gonna get it.

So here's a thread for people to post about their DC favorites, maybe even post about their currenty aired favorite superhero related clips or suggest their hopes for what new may be in the special. Cause there will be new in there. Can't all be Robin in the closet with a car battery or Reverse WonderWoman blurring up the screen.

For myself, favorite already-been is the Arkham Redemption skit where the Joker fakes his escape and gives a sewer-stuck Batman a 5 flush salute. The sound effects are just so wrong in that one...I laugh far too much when it's on.

As for favorites, I'm partial to Catwoman. But I think it would be funnier if they did something about Cheetah. There's just something off about a peanut butter-based superpower that needs to be brought to everyone's attentions.

I like that skit were the different superheros were in a Real World like show. What was it? Real World Metropois or something like that. That was funny.

The OPost:

The DC Nation shorts about Animal Man and Plastic Man are great. I know it would probably be (whatever word I'm looking for here, taboo, cliche, etc) for RC to use Weird Al and Tom Kenny (respectively), but I would enjoy seeing either of the characters in the show (and with their current voice actors to "seal the deal"). Al has already (as most know) done work for RC and other [as] shows, so it doesn't seem too implausible/impossible for him to reprise his role as Buddy Baker... but Spongebob might be a different story, nevermind the impracticality of a Plastic Man bit (outside of cartoon animation).

Aside from that fanboy bs...

1) Green Arrow REALLY NEEDS to be called out for his being the Batman version of Robin Hood. I love Ollie, but he knows what he did.

2) With the release of Batman's "Wanted" poster for tDKR, RC should put Batman on trial for his crimes, or (possibly) just show the world that THEGODDAMNBATMAN is the very criminal piece of #### he is trying to stop through some ludicrous ploy by several villains ala the Arkham game plots (i.e. Batman, recently alerted to rising criminal activity by several groups/gangs, breaks into someone's home trying to find the Mad Hatter and just beats the crap out of a family because they have a copy of Alice in Wonderland on the shelf).

3) How about Wonder Woman tells a joke by (and I mean just dub the audio in) Lisa Lampanelli.?No, seriously, wouldn't it be funny to hear WW talk about black guys reaming her gaping ####? NO. No it wouldn't.

3) (for real this time) The fanboys WILL NOT shut up over the pants/no pants debate in regards to WW, so how about a "Women of the DCU Fashion Show" explaining to these neckbeards why Power Girl's #### slit isn't practical or sexy (nevermind WW's star-spangled granny panties). I'm aware of World's Finest #1 (of the DCnU) and PG's new uniform, but I think if they are going to address any DC continuity post August 31, 2011 (the day Flashpoint #5, Justice League #1 came out and changed DCU to DCnU) then they should address the inconsistency in which time is presented throughout ALL the titles - is it NOW, FIVE YEARS AGO, or someone unspecified time before that (Action Comics taking place before JL #1-6 which is "five years before" the other titles, yet Superman is also 5-6 years after Action Comics... What?)?

4) A Murder of Crows, A Parliament of Owls/Rooks, A Gander of Geese... An awkward evening with Robins? What if all the Robins (####, Jason, Tim, Steph and Damien) meet each other in some a-temporal location. Damien: [to Jason] Aren't you dead?

5) THE ANTI-MONITOR

6) The Anti-Monitor and Darkseid have tea to discuss the best means for acheiving Universal Dominance.

7) Swamp Thing/ Alec Holland (embodiment of The Green) as a college stoner (a little obvious, but they do quick throwaways I feel this would be perfect for).

8) (This will seem similar to 4, but fuuuuuudge Final Crisis) The Supermen of the Multi-verse ride an interdemensional Yellow Submarine (IN 3D!!!!!!HOLYfuuuuuudgeING####BALLS!3D!!!!).

9) The Spectre Spectates...

10) Booster Gold doing anything. Also, I see what you did there Dan... (yes I know that accusation is loose, but they are phonetically similar and both are time-travelling products from the 80s). Also

11) The Guardians (or Booster and Rip) discuss all the ways in which they could have saved the DCU from experiencing such bat#### crazy occurrances like Superman and his Multi-verse equivallents riding on a goddamned yellow submarine. Or Batman shooting Darkseid with a radioactive bullet before being sent back in time causing the bullet to kill the God that was dead from the start. Or Cain being Vandal Savage (VS being Cain, whatever). Seriously #fuuuuuudgeFinalCrisis #WTFGrant

Honestly, if they just spent the entire thing pointing out the insanity of FC or the relaunch ("Don't call it a reboot" or I'll cry harder - Didio) would be great (read: perfect).

I kinda think that that was exactly the reason they went with Firestorm as part of that little bit - because he does have a fan base but he's not exactly the first [or even 20th] DC character that most people might be able to name. But he's still a million times better than that frickin' banjo hillbilly and green fuzzball so he was the perfect one to take them out.
